Got my first BaC box today

Already built the terminators and dark apostle and contemptor

BTW quick question

Is it legal for the stergant to have a claw + power fist?

I'm assuming you mean the Terminator Sarge? Unfortunately not.

Damn it :( oh well looks like when i play 30k il have to use one of my deathwing terminators to lead my WB termies as I've built the servant for 40k lol

Live what you guys have done with this box. Hoping to pick one up tomorrow but probably won't assemble much as I'm waiting for the Wolves to drop, need to know how my packs can be organised.

Now to try and work out if I want the moulded shoulder pads for ANY of my force. Did the Wolves all use Legion heraldry during the Heresy? Might just use them for my various Priests if they still count as coming from a separate part of the Legion.

Has anyone had trouble putting a power armoires helmet on the terminator captain? I tried a dry run of it and ended up having to cut up the entire head to put it in.

I've managed to fit a different bare head in, but when I tried any helmeted ones they really didn't want to fit... Is the body all glued together?

Thankfully no, not yet I want to be a hundred percent sure the head fits before I glue. The goal is to put that skull head from the upgrade pack and put it in there. Failing that maybe a necron head?

If you look at all of the Cataphactaii helms/heads, they start from the nose, so realistically any replacement head or helm should also be trimmed down, removing anything below the nose.

Cheers,

Jono

With normal Cataphractii it is as you said, but the praetor has a fully sculpted head, as the gorget and the chest armor are a separate piece and are not fused to the rest of the torso.

Regarding the conversion, I think you could fit a helmet if you trimmed part of the gorget and the helmet, but I'm not sure if the head might look too big or displaced.

I put a Night night Lords helmet (not the winged ones) on my praetor and it fits and looks pretty good. I had to do a little trimming on the back of the helmet but one in place, you can't tell. I'll try to get a pic up when I can.

WIP 1st Legion contemptor with the addition of some resin bits to help the pose. Much happier with it now and the arms are magnetised so I can swap with my resin one.

Just started my foray into 30k, and since I don't intend to use a Chaplain, I've done a quick chop-and-change to turn Kurtha Sedd into a Praetor with a paragon blade (or a power axe-wielding Delegatus for smaller games). Not a particularly dramatic conversion, and I'm sure someone else has had the idea, but I'm happy with it.

It's a solid conversion. Not particularly dramatic, as you say, but the sheer amount of times people have done it says a certain something about how good an idea it is! And you've certainly done a good job at it. Is that axe from the Severin Loth honour guard set?

Nice, but did the resin feet really help much?

You could get away without using them, but it allows you to get a wider stance and still have the feet flat on the ground. I found it worked better for me and I had the bits lying around already.

Yep, had the axes from the set lying in my bitz box for ages, and it just sort of clicked when I was looking for a good swap.

Nice work on the dread, Haelim. What parts did you use for the hand?

Thanks Aramis :).

They are from the Blood Angels Furioso Dreadnought:

My first kitbash from a Calth mini was my XX legion Delegatus.

The baton and hand, power dagger and powerfist arm are from the MT Scions kit (as is an imperial orders book round the back). The baton hand was fairly easy to blend onto the arm with a clean cut. The right arm powerfist accessorised with the Calth claw and a mounted plasma pistol, with the shoulderpad icons hiding the fact it's not proper power armour.

Crest from the Sternguard kit.

Wish I'd used a nicer chest plate and base so he might get pulled apart again soon.
