Yeah, I love that kick animation. Great stuff. There's a lot to like about this game, honestly. I still enjoy it even after all these months. I don't think walking around in a Knight, let alone MY OWN Knight, will ever really get old.

That kick makes me realize all the more that the Knight is an extension of the pilot and it's not simply like using a bunch of levers to move it around. I know that's the way it's always been in the fluff but this sure makes it more apparent in my mind in a funny way. Like I imagine him going "stupid renegade" - punt!

Yes! This game does a great job of that. They move with such a swagger, they just feel alive. I think this is the main thing that makes them unique compared to a full-sized Titan. The fluff really does a good job of hammering it home that they FEEL like they are the Knight. Like they're wearing it as a suit of armor and their consciousness grows to match.

Had a quick run on this last night and did the into and first mission.

Iron Knight Teralyon certainly wrecked some face. Definately think this needs to be tablet rather than phone though for my big hands (even thought I have a big phone anyway!)

I ran my first 25 levels off of my iphone 6 plus. But yes, it's a little more easy to shoot distant objects on the tablet.

I will say I still love this, but the end game has changed. It seems so incredibly difficult to craft anything 350. Also I just don't get how I'm getting -quadruple- outscored in dailes/weeklies by people my level (50).

In fact yesterday I had something like 130,000 points and top spot was in the millions. Now I realize that is probably a bug exploit, but even so the top 50 peeps have these ridiculous scores that seem beyond the intended scope of the daily's structure/environment.

+edit+ Also as proud as I am to have my Renegade skin the bonus is very bland, so I went back to a 'red' one that gives me 10% to grab crates which I'm finding is the best way to augment income right now (bonus ore is slower and never results in a really good find.)

I got back into this with the recent Renegade stuff, and I'm still really enjoying it. I also switched to playing it on an iPad mini and whilst the controls took a little getting used to (I really liked the 3D Touch controls on my phone) I'm now happy to be slaying xenos and heretics again. I'm only around level 30, and I don't worry too much about crafting and gear. I just pop in once every other day or so and blow some junk up. It's pretty much perfect for that kind of casual gameplay.

Here's my solution to crafting.

Collect a whole bunch of 250 blues from chests. From 6 X 250 blues, build a single 300 purple. Repeat. From 6 X 300 purples, build a single 350 gold. Takes time but it's been pretty consistent for me.

But! There's another way. Play the campaign final mission. You can see from the mission brief that there's a chance for a 350 (or rather 343) gold lightning to drop. Play that mission, use the 350 gold to craft other 350 gold parts.

Edit - forgot to say don't bother doing the above until max level cause otherwise you'll out level your gold equip anyway.

Here's my baby with Litany's scheme:

Scheme that matches my table top models (but not as cool as JTs Bee):

Haha. It's pretty cool, buddy. Don't be down because the Bee will always be the coolest. It's just what she does, man. Her only job is to look badass in this video game because I can never get her in a tabletop game.

Pretty impressed with your levels. My drops are usually still green at this point, at level 30 and Silver loyalty. I'm grinding my way up, and I don't sweat it too much.

I just picked up this game this week, and I a sya its alot of fun. The FTP nature of it is annoying; I actually like Heroes of the Storm, Blizzards FTP Moba, but being pushed to watch ads is a tad bit annoying. Tis alright though, i picked up the Divine Rule pack anyways for the sweet Genestealer Purple.

What Weapon types are you guys preferring? I really like the Gatling Cannon with Meltagun, cant decide on which carapace I like

Really love the enemy variety in this game. Tons of forge-world units to fight against, though the Decimator is a tad oversized lol. makes me wish the actual Decimator was a super-heavy knight-counterpart. I do wish the chaos marines were mostly cultists, feels strange mowing down Astartes with a heavy stubber. Also wish Killer Kans and Deffdreads were in, but oh well

I still prefer the Battle Cannon. At an equivalent level, it's a one shot sure death for everything smaller than a tank in its blast radius. Everything else isn't a guaranteed kill. Even the Lightning Cannon sometimes will not kill all the infantry in an especially large group in a single shot.

Sub weapon, I prefer the Stubber, but it's a preference thing. The Melta is pretty OP.

Multiplayer PvP is here!

Overview:

If you've played the table top Renegade Knight mini game - it works kind of like that.

It's asynchronous, so you're fighting an AI controlled version of a real player's Knight.

Knight's face off against each other, and slowly get closer while circling the battlefield. But there are also, other opposing little mobs like Rhinos, Marines, etc. on the field. You shoot at each other, as well as the mobs, to do damage, but also to build "Fury". Whoever has the most "Fury" when your Knights finally reach close combat will hit first.

If you win, you get PvP points and climb a PvP ranking ladder. Top players each cycle get PvP gear.

It's fun. Also, you get to see a Thunderhawk Transporter carry a Knight.

Tips:

1. Shoot the infantry to build up "Fury" the fastest. Only shoot the bigger non-Knight mobs if they threaten you as they don't actually build up "Fury" as fast. Hence, the Stubber works best.

2. When you see the blue crossed swords icon appear on the opposing knight, stop shooting for a moment and prepare to close combat so you don't miss the timing.

3. If the enemy knight has already built up a lot of "Fury", you can also shoot it directly to try to reduce its "Fury" in addition to doing damage before close combat.

4. Conversely, you absolutely must block the opposing Knight's attack or you will lose whatever "Fury" you built up for yourself

To be fair, the princeps of a Titan does actually feel like he/she is the Titan. They feel everything the Titan "feels", even though a Titan isn't as quick moving as a knight.

I don't know why but PVP in this game doesn't really do much for me. I was hoping for more campaign/ storyline stuff. I mean I still play this game every day.... every event. In other games I've played a ton of PVP but this doesn't seem to fit that mould for me.

I will definitely check it out though. Simply being a Knight is the main attraction for me. ;)
