@ Flint - Thank you, I used a spare sword from Kranon for the weapon and the arm is from the Deathwatch Kill Team box. I'm very pleased with how this one turned out

Evening all,

 

I have been working on a counts as for a Primaris Lightning Strike Fighter. I am not a massive fan of the proper model from Forge World because I feel it looks like it belongs to the Imperial Guard rather then the Legions. I used the Stromhawk Interceptor kit which still has the parts for the Storm Talon Gunship inside.

 

 

 

I removed the fin under the tail and turned the top of it by 180 degrees and filled in the front where the lights and other misc gadgets normally sit. I also converted the assault cannons on the wings to be replaced with lascannons.

 

I also got a little bored playing with Autodesk Pixlr:

Thanks dude, just need to decide what to get next. I know I need tanks, probably a Land Raider and another Vindicator but I guess I should really finish the first unpainted Vindicator sitting on the shelf before I buy anything else :(. I have finished my third Veteran Tactical unit and have one more to paint giving me a total of forty marines. I need one more set of Cataphractii and that will be all my troop choices finished.

 

I still have three Gal Vorbak sitting on the shelf behind me too which make up the second unit of five or the full unit of ten depending on what I play.

Well if you can do, what I don't seem to be able to do, and paint what you have before buying more then I'd do that! ;-) then decide after what you still need / want. IMO anyways.

Yea, I think I will try and do that. Ill prep my Vindicator tomorrow for airbrushing and then hopefully have that done soon. I have a week's holiday next week so bar the wedding shows I HAVE to attend I'll hopefully get it finished.

Ok, so I tried painting a Night Lord a while ago for 40k but It wasn't my best and decided to shelve the idea. This morning while painting a Broodlord from Space Hulk I thought the colour could work well on a Night Lords marine. Here is the result so far:

 

 

This is the test model and I'm much happier with how this turned out, so much so that I decided to do some Distrusted Allies for my Word Bearers.
