Neat idea. However, you might want to not hot-link the images directly from the Forge World website. It gobbles up their bandwidth and IIRC it's against forum rules. ;)

Welcome to 30k Slips ;)

Nice work though. However I thought for book 6 with the additional RoWs for released legions, it was only 1 more unique, not 2?

Just to be sure, I'd bold the "old rules" part of the description on books 1/2/3 etc.

I know a couple of people who recently got the early books as all they knew is that it contained rules for thier legions :c

Can anybody advise me as to whether the new Age of Darkness Legions book contains the new Legion specific Rite of War from Book 6?

In book six it has the rules for an "etc"? How does that play on the field?

I think that depends on whether it's a Level 70 ETC...

Yeah the rules are updated from the old books and in some cases very, very different now.

Tell your friends to get the red book as the updates are always for the better!

IIRC, it doesn't, it includes everything new until book 5, and makes some changes and tweaks to rules and units.

That's frustrating, given they were released so close together.

I thought the updated LA:CAL red book was "at the printers"?

Just to confirm it contains legion rules up to and including book V, so you may still want book VI.

So just getting into 30k the age of darkness book and retribution would get my shattered legions off the ground wouldn't it? I need to make a fw order soon and I want the books I need but if I'm ordering from fw I'd rather spend more on resin less on paper if at all possible ? Edited by Pyroclast91

@Caillum Awesome thank you I've been trying to figure out exactly which books I need for a while now they certainly don't make it simple.

@Guiltysparc I've read every book I can find that has anything to do with my beloved salamanders both 30k and 40k I actually just finished Deathfire (which was amazing) I've been trying to get ahold of scorched earth and promethean sun for a while now tho damnation of pythos wasn't bad either. Do you have any suggestions regarding good reads about the iron hands and raven guard? They will be the other parts of my shattered legion force and I feel like I don't know nearly as much about them as I do the salamanders so any input would be greatly appreciated.
