June… We are now officially in ETL territory. I do encourage everyone willing to pledge their ETL minis for the Casual challenge as well! And with that I, Nevindar, hereby opens up the thread for the month!

Any and all models pledged in the ETL challenge may also be pledged for the Casual Challenge. Note however that the ETL have a 3 month deadline whereas the Casual Challenge will still have the 1 month deadline. This makes for a great way to divide up your total ETL pledge in…. eh… Manageable? Chunks? ;)

We all know how this works by now, pledge some models to paint this month, build your armies, and enjoy the opportunity to stick it to the Traitors/Loyalists. Full rules can now be found in the Hall of Victors thread - where anyone involved so far should feel happy to post their full army shots!

There is something important still in effect this month that I have been lax in enforcing. Pledges should be completed before any additional models are pledged and models need to be pledged to be counted for the casual challenge.

As a basic reminder, every model you pledge to paint is worth points. Once you finish the model and show us you earn points for your faction. These are always safe, so there is always an incentive to keep painting! The scores are as follows -

Infantry - 1 point;
Large Infantry (terminators, bikes, rapiers without crew etc.) - 2 points;
Monstrous infantry - 3 points;
Vehicles and Fortifications - 6 points;
Lord of War (including Primarchs)- 10 points;
Warhound Titan – 15 points;
Reaver Titan – 20 points (still hoping to see one someday!)
(If you feel like painting a Warlord Titan for the Challenge… We can work something out)
Building pledge is a quarter of a point for the model pledged, and if the model is also “upgraded” with a paint job in the same month it will receive full points for painting but none for the build itself.

So brothers, sisters, post-humans and machine creations, for the Emperor or for Horus let's see some pledges!

As a side note: I will try to be more active in June. May, especially late May, isn’t the time in a University Student’s life with the most amount of spare time… Mm finals.

Ok- I trashed last months vow entirely as I've been rethinking and reworking my army concept. Went from siege to aerial assault and now thinking a mechanized quick reaction force.

I like this idea as it incorporates AFVs (which I love), heavy infantry (also a fave), and a few droppods (this incorporates the air).

So I pledge a spartan, 3 jetbikes and 6 terminators for this casual.

Warmer and non rainy weather means I can break the airbrush out sometime soon:)

Right. Don't have too much time right now 'cause of finals and whatnot, so I'll make a nice, easy, build pledge for the month. I'll go in for 30 Tactical Marines and 9 Terminators. I'll probably wind up building them sometime at the end of next week or the week after, alongside my ETL vow.

After my April utter failure, I'm determined to retry. I was just starting a Thanatar so that is my pledge for the month:

1 Thanatar for my Loyalist Ordo Reductor. Here's its current state:

Everyone must be on holiday. Anyway, progress!

Just tidying up the red at the minute. Unfortunately, my wash resulted in some tide marks and am having to correct those and highlight the red. Afterwards, it's the detail: leg chevrons, gun casing, lenses, and plasma glow. It looks a bit bright at the minute but my hope is after some oil washes, it'll tone it down somewhat. After the painting, it'll be base, seal, oil, seal, pigments, flock base and seal!

I will pledge my two quad launchers, a single knight errant and a foot slogging librarian. Not my whole EtL vow but enough to get going with.

Models done. Not a great photo.

Next vow will be 19 militia grenadiers (already done one as a test piece), a bike librarian and a bike centurion. Bit more of my EtL vow.

And there we go! an update of points!

Pledged:
Loyalists: 148,25
Traitor: 24. Yes. 24.

Pardon for this update having taken this long to be posted. I have been a bit busy with organising a global heresy escalation event and catching up on some shut-eye. There'll be an update on my dreadnought tomorrow!

Good work so far all, keep working!

Here is my first set of 10 militia grenadiers

Would post a picture of the other ten but my computer is playing around at the moment and won't let me do it on the same post.

Just the bike centurion to paint. Man I hate painting bikes.

Edit: Woohoo, finally managed to post the second squad.

Can't recommend Anvil Industry enough for militia players. The models are nicely squared, good to put together and fun to paint. Only issue is lack of options so far, but they are releasing more over the next couple of months.

Bike Centurion is done.

I seriously hate marine bikes. Got a couple more models of my EtL vow 2 to do, so I won't vow here until I can think of an EtL vow 3.

Edit: Considering I have vowed for the third time on the EtL, I'm going to pledge again here.

My pledge will be 5 heavy support marines with missile launchers, a centurion with terminator armour+combi melta+chainfist, a militia force commander with bolt pistol and power sword and a navigator with cyber familiar.
