I just tried to highlight the old colour and it didn't work very well, so I have gone bright with the hope of going darker. It's largely about the settings you use on a camera that cause the details to be nice and crisp. Just takes a bit of experimenting to get it right! I am trying to avoid going crazy on detail about things that will be covered up. A dark paint scheme tends the reflect this better in my opinion. And you know, Magnus the red. Not pink! The chest and front of the legs aren't getting much more done to them as they will be covered in his armour.
