As a change from scenery tonight I think I will turn my hand to some Ash Wastes Nomads, but instead of going for the traditional 'Confrontation' look with platform boots and silly hats I think I'll turn to my trusty helper 'Google' for ideas.

A few interesting pictures that I found.

I might do one with a silly hat in memory of the old minis actually. :smile.:

I think I have a few bits stashed away to make a few more Scavvies as well, I'll have to go through all my bits boxes to see what I have.

+++ EDIT+++

Still very WiP...

med_gallery_75911_13630_574275.jpg

The dude in the middle needs a hood sculpting to hide the bulbous fivehead, and the ganger with longrifle needs a left arm and a hood.

med_gallery_75911_13630_214120.jpg

The left and middle guys need cloaks, and the other guy on the right has decided to join the gang.

Tomorrow I am gonna try and do a female Nomad or two, as well as finding the bits for my entries into

BCK's Character Conversion Challenge Event (I'm doing Mad Donna and the Arch Zealot). Edited by Slave to Darkness

Great looking nomads STD! Can't wait to see the finished results! Extra excited to see your Mad Donna!

Oh and the muffins were 3 towers of: lemon & lime with cream frosting and zests; earl grey & blueberry and coffee choc chip with coffee frosting. I have pictures if your interested lol.

Cheers. The tatty cloaks are going to annoy me, not sure how I am gonna do them. Trial and error I guess.

Puctures of food you say? Omg yes! *drools*

Pop em in a PM though if you could please, already de railed a thread talking about Caramel Chocolate spread yesterday.

Fun fact about tea. John Blanches fave tea is Earl Grey with a slice of lemon. :)

Not so fun fact, the Nomads bow string is real hair. 100% beard. :D

How about this?

This post makes the chances of me successfully converting more Tech Priest Dominus models a lot more likely. Thank you.

Wow, there's a lot of personality in those nomads. I look forward to seeing them finished. On an unrelated note I am putting muffins on the shopping list now. :tongue.:

Thanks. :smile.: I'm gonna be starting a few more today as well. Oh and muffins should always be on your shopping list, and cuppycakes!!!

Yep, nailing it here StD.

Cheers bro.

I knew coming into this thread was a good idea. Between you and sister Alessia I've smiled more in these past 15 minutes than I've done for weeks.

Good show old bean.

Flattery gets you everywhere

I agree with you on Sister Alessias stuff, its one of my fave B&C threads. :smile.:

Very cool gangs Slave, and those ash wasters are pretty!

Cheers bro. :smile.: If you think they are pretty now wait until I do a few gangers of the fairer sex.

Funny you post that, I have been looking for that exact thread. :laugh.:

Re reading it has reminded me that I still need to finish my Daemonhost based on this pleasant image.

Next on the to do list is...

Starting the Heavy and some Female gangers for the Nomads.

Play about with some Brettonian Archers to make some more Scavvies.

Find the bits I need for my Mad Donna and Arch Confessor conversions.

Knock up a few small barricades.

Oh and listen to the album this is off again...

So relaxing

This daemonhost conversion would be [REDACTED] amazing dudebro! Please do it, pretty please! And I wouldn't mind some knife stuck in the NSFW :happy.:

If I recall the only reason I stopped working on the Daemonhost was due to the lack of hands suitable, Witch Elves are tiiiiiny, I might just cop out and use Nurgling hands. :laugh.:

I actually started a blog just for NSFW stuff that I am planning, nothing majorly bad but stuff that I could potentially upset a few delicate younger types that may be lurking on B&C. Though thats a long way off though.

So do you need tiny hands for that daemonettehost? Maybe try the Perry Miniatures range, they're truescale 25/28mm, not the goofy GW scale, and they're cheap. If you just need normal hands, Anvil Industries have some cheapo (3̉ pounds IIRC) hands.

Didn't think about the Perry stuff, I have been meaning to pick up some of their stuff for a while now. Thanks for reminding me.

I would like to introduce Melvin

med_gallery_75911_13630_988157.jpg

As he is a deformed creature with super human size and strength I think he will count as a Scalie for my Scavvie gang.

Here we have a wip of Melvin alongside another cheeky chappie... Guess who this handsome guy will be. :biggrin.:

Melvin's from the cult classic film 'Toxic Crusader', isn't he? (Is it titled 'Toxic Crusaders'- plural- instead? I'm more familiar with the cartoon adaptation of the film, than on the film itself.) Is the other guy the Rogue Trooper, from the creators of 'Judge Dredd'?

Yep its Toxie

Oddly the film is called 'The Toxic Avenger' and I recommend you watch them all right now. :biggrin.: They went 'Crusader' for the cartoon for some reason. Maybe because 'Avenger' sounds too violent for the kids and Crusader sounds all noble and whatnot, kinda like the Teenage Mutant Ninja/Hero Turtles.

By any chance did you watch the Killer Tomato's cartoon??

As for the other chap, that's a negative on the Rouge Trooper, but thanks for reminding me that he exists, I totally forgot about that amazing character.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the guy on the right is groovy. I like the detail of the bases. These two are coming on nicely.

Hail to the King baby!!! He once went to the Virgin Islands, now they are just called the Islands :laugh.:

I think they changed the cartoon adaptation's name to avoid confusion with Marvel Comics' 'Avengers', the way they changed the comic book adaptation of the British TV series to 'Steed and Mrs. Peel'.

Yes, I did see the cartoon adaptation of 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes'. The fact I remember it exists, makes me feel old.

Wow, I remember the Killer Tomatoes cartoon... past me used to be annoyed that they said to-may-to instead of to-mah-to. :p Yeah, I know what it feels like to be able to trawl back that far with nostalgia as well. Does that mean you're going to model some dangerous spherical lifeforms for your Underhive next?

Tbh I didn't think of that, but now you mention it... I could do a Beastmaster Wyrd and the Tomatoes could be any of the animals that follow him around. I think for all of our sanity's I should avoid watching the Killer Condom then
