Great second vow and glad to hear the event has got you in the zone!

 

Colours for the Librarian (as in classic blue, red with blue bits, or something else)?

 

I have aspirations of doing a third vow and getting rid of some more backlog models in November ... but we'll see how this goes first and if I make my game deadline.

 

Librarian will be classic blue with red shoulder pads. It's how I paint all my Librarians - it's nice to paint a model something other than red for once. It's why I also like Death Company and Chaplains. Mind you, I have a load of gold Sanguinary Guard to do now

I recall it taking an awful long time (for me at least) to paint all the bits and pieces that get attached to plasma cannons.

Yeah, why not. Going to need a prompter again, though, being without an index and all; is a regular marine Lieutenant with Lightning Claw and Bolt Pistol a legit entry? Was playing around with some bits the other day and I'm rather taken with the result, want to crack on! 

 

Somewhat emabarassingly, I don't actually know how to add banners or medallions to my sig...

 

Basing is generally slate + small stones/varied gradients of basing sand. I do have some metal and resin spent bullet casings that I sprinkle on occasion along with the odd piece of chaos marine.

I've made fantastic progress on my vow, all going well I could finish them early by the end of this week! It certainly helped having a Retributor Gold spray paint to start things off I've done a test paint for the white wings which turned out great so I'm really pleased with that. As an added bonus the wings were the Sanguinors so after many years he's finally finished I will tweak my list for the end of month game to include him now...

Great to see all these vows coming in, and completing! I wanted to update my vow a bit. Got my Furioso (Librarian) magnetized, assembled, and primed. I also re-primed my old-school 3rd edition librarian, after I stripped the old paint job. As the only psyker I have painted in either of my armies is Mephiston, I would also like to add this librarian to my vows (so that I might actually, you know, playtest a list that does something in the psychic phase for once). Hoping to be able to paint these in tandem!
