Thanks MR!

Tyber is linking Desiato's departure to a theft of that painting, thinking that he is chasing something and that the painting might be a clue.

Edit:

Thinking on it now, Tyber (and myself to a degree) just let slip something about his chapter....

Even if Sabaan is probably pretty Blase about the theft of a painting over facing a horde of Tyranids, I myself love that there some developments outside the "Deathwatch kills the monster of the week" line. Several thumbs up!

Also you might have seen my post in the Amicus. I am still looking into getting more text up and more in time but technical solutions are amazingly few. With the recent addition of the overal impressive and motivated as well as motivating entry of Swordhand, I really must get my hands on something to keep up you people.

I am aware that I have ( deliberately. ) not really touched the subject here but I both feel you are overdue an explanation on my often pretty late an d still lagging behind updating as well as having been great people all around. And I honestly must admit that it took me quite the time to get this straight by myself, so forgive me for not sharing this sooner.

Also, if any of you have their plate full - feel free to skip the rest of this entry. Know that I am fine and in no immediate danger and take care of your life. Really, it's fine.

I also try not to take up to space on this thread with my personal troubles .

Recently I was diagnosed with a form of retinal tissue degeneration. Which means that I am going blind - albeit , uckily, apparently very, very which is why it came up only now even if my eyesight wasn't that great all my life. It does explain a lot of trouble I have had before and turns out I do not just need a better prescription on glasses as I get older. Reading and especially typing and proof reading are tiring, so halts my progress a lot. There were and still are several things in my life I need to adapt to this (like being no longer allowed to drive,e.g.). I guess you can also imagine how taxing it has been on me and especially my wife to cope with this. Especially early on, when there was more concern that this might be something rapidly destroying my eyesight. Which, luckily, we now know it's not.

Long story short: I walked in for a routine check up and came out with an incurable illness and being handicapped. But I manage and -to quote the colleague- will probably have to live to my 300s before going completely blind. Which is indeed a relief.

It just makes blogging and keeping up with the work you fine people do sometimes a bit more time consuming.

But once again and because of all that, I have to say I am really glad to be part of this and once again just have to say Thank you all for all of this.

Xin,

We have you brother.  Thank you for being so open about this, it takes squishy fleshy meatbag stuff inside to mention this kind of thing to vague people on the internet, but obviously yours is made of much sterner stuff.

I am sorry to hear this and I cannot imagine how it must be for you, so I apologise for my hack journalist writing and such lengthy posts filled with garbage, for obviously these are the culprit and I need the Rite of Pure Thought!

You did the right thing mentioning this, even though there are full plates, We can deal with side-orders for other people I am sure, this board was born for moments like this - to paraphrase ADB.  However, this does mean that you have the opportunity to develop master-crafted bionics to help purge the Xeno! I still grin when I remember you purging that wasp infested tree with a chainsaw you told us about. :D

That was pretty metal - proper know no fear there.

We're here for you, as you have been here for us.  If I can help, let me know. (Bangs fist into chest).

MR.

But once again and because of all that, I have to say I am really glad to be part of this and once again just have to say Thank you all for all of this.

Almost goes without saying that I’m dreadfully sorry to hear your news, but equally it’s good to hear it’s at least slow - and I echo the thoughts that it’s good to talk here; thank you for sharing.

Best wishes, and hope that we all continue together

Very.

Very.

Much.

Appreciated!

While it has been an added frustration not to be able to keep up with all your stuff as much as I would like, it has been been even more satisfying to get things out and past you guys. And while that was in no way intended, having a way to vent all that frustration on something so pitifully organic via Sabaan has in deed been pretty epic.

But I think the whole getting together with you ( both you in particular and all of you individually and as a group ) to focus on something else and something I love to do couldn't have come at a better time!

BTW don't sell yourself under worth .... your stuff is pretty great and I look forward to it every time!

Xin dude that really sucks but like you said on the bright side you will be well into your 300s before you go blind and by that time we will all have cyborg bodies :D

Disregarding my :cussty attempt at humour look after yourself and take your time with things! Keep at it :)

Hi all,

Xin: Please let us know what we can do to support you. I'm happy as ever to run your rolls and just allow you to concentrate on narrative, much as Nineswords does with Greysight. Your presence enriches us, and I would hate for us to be deprived of it!

This week has been a hectic one for us, not least because it was my wife's last radiotherapy session on Friday. After 21 weeks of chemo, surgery and three weeks of radiotherapy, we have managed to get over a major obstacle and (hopefully) we are on to brighter things!

Mazer / Steel: I am in the midst of editing the governor's posts and will lay out any changes I'd like you to make in your posts. Whilst you may have stumbled onto something momentous (and perhaps earlier than you were meant to) do be careful to separate your ideas from your characters' - would your Space Marines be charging across Beregar on the cusp of a Tyranid invasion all for the sake of a missing painting? It might be better to bide your time somewhat... maybe...

Stand by for edits in this post...

EDIT:

Okay, so ideally:

- #1161 - If Slips could edit so that Solastion replies directly to Akkad, asserting his authority somewhat and short-cutting the conversation between Tyber and Akkad.

- #1163 - If Steel could delete

- #1167 - If Mazer could delete the first paragraph pertaining to Steel's comments, and edit the latter half to keep the questions (but not Vortis's reactions.)

- #1169 - If possible, Steel to refine the first paragraph to be a little more detailed (this isn't essential, however.)

- #1170 - The pistol and sword were present, though I didn't explicitly say so.

- #1172 - I have deleted this post, although it is still present if we need it.

Okay, I have edited the most recent post. You now have an opportunity to discuss anything you wish. Tomorrow, I will have Swordhand make contact and will unite the two Kill-Teams.

Sounds good CM, I'll get that done tonight, just finished up an X-wing tournament... where I got my ass handed to me. :)

Edit:

In-laws came over for dinner, just got the kids down... will try to make those edits tomorrow or Monday CM.

Again, thanks to all of you for your wishes and your support. And no worries, you have already helped a lot getting through this and to this point without knowing about just by doing what you have been doing and being who you are :)

Mol, helping with the rolls and rules is indeed helping a lot, so thanks for the extra effort. Also, good to hear your wife seems to be responding well to the treatments and things are looking up on your part!

Back to M41 - very nice streamlining of posts. Looking forward to meeting new guys now!

Sorry to hear about your eyesight troubles, Xin. I hope you find a way to continue contributing the quality posts we've become accustomed to that's comfortable for you. Other than Mol rolling the dice for you, let us know if we can do anything else to help.

In other news, I have been writing my post on and off for the past hour or so. I hope to have it read soon.

Then it was meant to be, because I've just rolled and written them down.  Plenty of LOLWUT? For the others, but Rhodrik Ghent my good sir...

D100: 001.

Oh, Akkad knows your mob so, so very well....

MR.

On mobile for a few more hours, but things are lining up that I'll be able to make those edits today, and hammer out a post, possibly... post might get delayed till Monday...

At any rate, I'm looking forward to see how well Tyber knows the fresh meat that just arrived, common lore Astartes +10 should be helpful. ^_^

Mol: Just a thought but could you perhaps write a brief post either here in the IC where you give the test difficulties for each Chapter of Swordhand, similar to what you did for Blackthorn back in the beginning of our adventure? Edited by Chaplain Dosjetka
