What Legions you expect to see in Titandeath supplement?

3 per side, so... Nova Guard, Imperial Hunters and Firebrands (or Warp Runners) for loyalists and God Breakers, Death Stalkers and Death's Heads (or Tiger Eyes) for traitors?

Four Legions with new fluff and color schemes and two already existing.

I'd love to see a fluff book with colour schemes for a while bunch of Legios. Doesn't need to have rules yet, just the information to choose a Titan Legion other than Gryphonicus!

(Personal vested interest - Legio Oberon interest me as a rival to Audax. They need revenge!)

The cover of Titandeath, the BL book, seems to show from left to right

  • a Fureans warhound, based on the flame pattern on the muzzle
  • a... blue imperator. Astroum maybe?
  • a warlord of indeterminate legion, might also be blue
  • a Krytos reaver, based on the verdigris and the deep red banners
  • a Solaria imperator. I think they're green with red heads now, based on some of the art previewed at various seminars

So that's them I guess. Maybe some of the other legions mentioned in the February Titandeath seminar? Photos of the presentation here: http://titanownersclub.blogspot.com/2018/02/titandeath-seminar.html

That said I suspect the legions mentioned in the rulebook and on box art so far will get the attention. So Mortis, Fureans, Atarus and Astorum, maybe with Krytos and Solaria creeping in if it's three a side. There's been a little bit of art featuring Ignatum but they'll probably be kept back until later battles where they feature more prominently.

Metalica is probably the biggest and most significant 40k legion not to get a mention so far to be honest.

Vulpa, Krytos, Solaria and Defensor for sure

For Krytos there is a small reference in the main rule book - along with the colour scheme. Which is actually plenty considering what other Legions get...

It's a decent scheme. I think Krytos was a legion first written by John French for the Tallarn BL books that got expanded to have a title - 'God Breakers' - and a look for AT. Their deal is apparently that they're brutal. Looks like the warhounds they previewed in that video were in the Krytos scheme.

Legio Solaria seem to have got quite a bit of attention, if not in the rulebook. They had old AT/Epic background as well as being the focus of Annandale's Warlord 40k novel. The big Warhammer World diorama shows their slightly updated legion icon as well as their red and green scheme. A bunch of Solaria warlords were also painted up for the AT display board Specialist Games showed in May.

Legio Vulpa was mentioned in Venegeful Spirit and some art seems to have been prepared.

Excellent stuff Sadlemad!!!

Truth is Krytos is growing on me. Legio Vulpa scheme is not bad either - if a bit Word Bearers’ like... :D

For Solaria’s red and green in need a bit more convincing!

Red and green is a really difficult match to pull off. It always looks like a Christmas theme to me...

Finally got my Reavers in...does anyone see a place to magnetize the arms? It doesn’t look possible or have a designated spot to me.

I ordered some of those ball joint magnets someone posted earlier so I will see if I can get a solution working!

Am just in the middle of mine.

Current plan is to drill down through the top of the socket. This pilot hole will give me the centre of the socket and allow me to put a correctly positioned pilot hole in the top of the ball. I’ll fill this small hole at the end but I think it’s going to be key to getting things to line up properly.

Then I’m going to make a recess in the socket for a 3mm x 0.5mm disc magnet. On the ball I’m going to use a 1.5mm x 3mm cylinder magnet into the widened pilot hole I drilled. This will be a lot easier than trying to get a disc in there.

In testing, the hold of the magnets seem strong but that’s the only unknown with my plan at the mo. Will update with how it goes with the weight of the weapons on them. If needs be I’ll widen for another 3mm disc.

Would be interested if anyone else has a better magnetising scheme for this.

Update: Just finished. Wasn’t confident with the pull on the cylinder magnet so did a 3mm disc both sides. Hardest bit is getting them lined up but the top pilot hole helped. Just used a pin vice with 3mm bit for most of it but the ball need widening so used a 4mm bit on the top edge just to open it a bit. The pilot hole was done with my smallest bit which is 0.3mm I think?

Not being able to pick a Legio is starting to turn into something of a crisis for me. I keep staring at these unpainted models.

I wish the GW community team would put some official paint schemes on their webpage as a get you by so we can have a bunch of Legios to work on.

Legio Lysander and Legio Oberon both fought and worked for the Ultramarines and I'm hoping they have more engines left than Praesagius (and an easier paint scheme for me!).

I've been annoyed at there being no easy way to compare schemes. If I'm looking for a blue loyalist scheme I end up having to dig thru dozens of pages to find options. I really hope they do a poster like the "chapters of space marines" ones.

Lol paint em red and black and you have 90% of the traitor Titan legions right there! :P

That’s the problem - options:

Lots already got doing Fureans or Gryphonicus

Semper is doing Krytos

Everything else is Red and Black, or Blue

I don’t actually know what color Vulpa is (whatever Rust and Bone is)

Which leaves Suturvora or Xestobiax - I guess I’ll do Suturvora

You could always create your own! It’s a bit heretical to me as a lore jockey, but I wouldn’t see why you couldn’t do whatever.

Astorum is pretty awesome too!

Suturvora? I hope you're good with flames... :ermm:
