I did note that the box artwork has some of the wrong bits used (Shalaxi's front belt bit on the normal keeper), I needed to review the kit properly to understand what was going where but if even GW gets it wrong... :tongue.: Fortunately nothing is really set to one or the other further than the spear but even then it doesn't really matter. I've seen several others leave the robe off and it's part of why the kit is so nice that you can mix and match so easily.

I also get why you'd want to leave it off for practical reasons as it will make the model a bit more hassle to transport. Also it's a fair bit extra to paint :tongue.: If (or when) I get a second I think I'll take the Shalaxi/magnetised route, so both will look quite different to each other :smile.:

Syll'Esske. I've typed it enough that Google suggests it once I get to the first 'l'.

I also left the last layer of robe-thing off of my KoS, I'm not sure what they were thinking with that but the model just looks better without it.

Not sure why you bring up Syll'Eske - that's the dynamic duo - you can see my painted version earlier in the thread.

I was responding to an exchange at the bottom of page two and somehow missed that I wasn't on the last page of the thread. It would have made sense in the proper context.

Okay, finished basing (for now - I might patch some bits that are a bit bare) and painting all the options for my Keeper of Secrets:

First, the Shalaxi variants:

Next the pony-tailed head with the knife and the whip:

Last, the cow head with the claws:

Thanks, PC and WF. :)  And yeah, the cow head is growing on me - my favorite head would be the ponytailed one, but I don't like how on the model it is looking down, meaning that you have to look at it from below to see the face.

wow this daemonette collection is amazing :D

I just love how everyone's daemonettes and slaaneshi daemons look unique in their own way.

im def gonna try out that dark elf conversion into daemonettes. I had some

but I sadly threw them away :P I usually go for rakarth flesh and

white skin tone, with black clothes/armor, with small slaanesh

symbols on it, giving it that pale and slightly subcultural vibe.

Thanks!  I'm glad you like them.  I too like how everyone's are different - you should check out Warrior Fish's, which are very good and also very different from both mine and the GW paint schemes.

I look forward to seeing yours when you paint them up - be sure to post them.

Apparently its been 3 1/2 years since I last worked on my demons.

Anyway, I've finally gotten around to finishing my second squad of seekers - these I had practically finished these in 2021, but didn't like their hair colour so got stuck.  Dusted them off recently to finish, as it was something quick to do before Call to Arms (and something too far along to paint in CtA) and with a new hair colour finished them all up in about a week.  Part of the motivation to do so was I can field them as part of my Emperor's Children army, where until I get a whole bunch of painting done I pretty much have to field demons as well, of which seekers are actually pretty good in that army, I think.

Their hair colour is a bit closer to that of my first squad than I would like (I use hair colour for unit designation for my demons), but they are distinguishable enough that it still works.  Here are the 2 units together:

Finally, what I'm working on now is dividing my 3x 20 squads of demonettes into 6x 10.  This means redoing the hair colour on half of them, and converting some of the existing figures to give each of the new squads an Aluress (though that doesn't make any game difference this edition, it may in future ones plus it adds a big of variety to the squads), a banner and a musician.

So far, I'll I've done is try out the new paint colour for my pink demonette squad - here it is (on the left), with the original hair colour on the right:

It works, so I'm now doing that for the rest of that new squad.

Did lose one of my pink demonettes at some point, so in addition to a converted banner and musician, I'll need to build myself an entirely new aluress.  I have the bits, though, so its not a big deal.

This past week has resulted in some more work on re-squadding my demonettes, both in the form of painting and converting.

First, I've painted all the new squads hair colour - I'll show that off once I've finished painting the conversions.  For now, I'll just show a picture of my new and old hair colours - the left of each pairing is the new colour.

The pink and blue, I arrived at a colour I liked on the first try.  Purple - not so much.  I think this is the fourth variation I tried, before I could come up with one I could likve with.  On the plus side, it was the easiest to paint - for the blue and pink, I had to repaint the hair in the base colour before giving its coloured wash, for the purple I could just paint the contrast paint I used right over the old paint scheme (except for a couple of the test models, where I  had to repaint those the original colur scheme before washing them.

Next photo is the conversions:

The middle model isn't a conversion per se, but is entirely new - its the replacement to the model I lost somewhere.  Other than her, where all the paint on her is new, I haven't painted any of the conversions yet, though I expect they'll be pretty quick to do.  Once they are, I'll show off a picture of all 60 of my demonettes together.

Yep - even more so when you include my non-demonette units, which include orange, green and red hair.  I'll need to retake my army photo when I have these 3 squads completed.

Okay, I've finished up the painting the converted bits of my demonettes to make them into 6 squads - here's a picture of them with their new hair colours with the rest of my demon army - the newly haired demonettes are the front 3 squads.

In deciding how to paint the dark witch "ribbon" type banner I had just converted, I decided to make it an "slaaneshified" Biel Tan eldar symbol.  I liked it so much, I repainted the old one (which was a much less exciting white on yellow generic slaanshi symbols) to be a matching Iyanden - and I'm really happy with the decision (and results).  Here are the two together (though I still have to paint the symbols on the "back" sides):
