TIT I built some terrain:

A centre piece building which blocks shooting well, but allows small stuff to run through.

In addition, if the buildings are placed separately, by utter fluke, the bridge sections are exactly the right height to board a warlord!

These are fantastic looking buildings! Really imaginative shape! Though if you’re open to constructive comments, you have a couple of doors that lead out to nowhere, could you make a balcony or similar to improve health and safety concerns for the inhabitants?

Thanks for all the replies. The consensus seems magnets are too much fuss, apart from that we are divided on glue or not to glue.

I got out my son’s Warlord (unglued) and although it certainly helps with storage, it is annoying if you forget it’s not glued and drop half your model on the floor.

I will probably glue (once the fiddly bits are painted). Maybe the alternative is to wrap tape around the central spike so it fits nice and snug but can be pulled apart if absolutely necessary.

You could always use blu-tack to hold them in place while gaming?

Wow, those buildings are ace. I also had no idea the Grimdark stuff was compatible with the GW terrain. That's gonna be.......... expensive.

On a side note. That Warlords Gatling cannon. Is that just a Leviathan Storm cannon with Sunfury armour plates?

Yes, thats part of the reason I joined the subscription service, he uses the same size tiles as the main building blocks. The compatibility is good, but not 100% but then again, the different sizes of Civitas aren't 100% either!

Yes, that is indeed a Storm Cannon with a spare plasma plate, it fits rather well with minimal, if any work.

That's what I printed last night. There are too many doors in that kit!

I have some of the GDT files as well. Just the odd month here n there when something takes my fancy. I'll have t have a play with those kits when I start doing a City board. I keep telling myself I'm not doing a city board but I keep hoarding building files. so it'll happen one day.

Good to know. I have a shed load of Storm Cannons for some reason. Not sure I want to Sacrifice a Plasma for a Blaster though. Even if it does look awesomely brutal.

Oh, I didn't really sacrifice one. You get two plates with the plasma, and noone's going to notice the one on the inside being missing.

Just a small update on getting some work on the Warlord base done. Now up to 41 marines on there which feels like it's enough! I've almost finished the Warlord too, so hopefully will all come together.

Also a quick shot from a battle of Epic SM/Titan Legions, and a Gargant and Warhound probably produced the most fun moment of the game. A Warhound thought it was being sneaky and was trying to get some shots off with the plasma blastgun after a Land Raider company had spent several turns stripping the Gargants shields. But, some poor placement of the Warhound and the Gargant trundled forward to get a clear view! One belly-gun shot and it went straight through the Warhound's shields and took the leg off at the knee. The shot then carried on, went straight through the building behind and landed squarely on a Field Police unit

Today in Titanicus I swayed a pal of mine to side with the Warmaster. He’s employed my Forgeworld to build him some Murder Lords (Legio Interfector). Here’s the results thus far:

Wow....so cool!

A quick shot of a Warlord Titan I have just finished. This thing represents the end of my Great Crusade-era project blog for now. There are more photos over in the Age of Darkness section in my project log:

Thanks! On reflection we could have done with more terrain - it seemed fine as we were deploying, but there wasn't the cover to make the most of the corsair's maneuverability, I'm sure we'll get a rematch sometime!

Good report and congrats on the win!! Were you loyalist or Traitor?

Had a game at WHW myself, booked the table and I requested a Titanicus board, and they said they would put scenery down for it. When I turned up it was just a generic 40k table which kinda sucked. Still have a good game but the terrain made it a tad wonky lol

John Fielding from Vanguard Miniatures did a quick test print of one of the new Tech Shanties I've released:

The STL's are also available at Vanguard Miniatures: https://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/shop/6mm-tech-shanties-set-2-stl-download/

Beautiful models mate. The details are amazing and I'm getting a very fifth element vibe from them! Did you ever make any variations of your tower blocks? bigger rooves for larger buildings etc? Or smaller ones for that matter.

To the community. I have recently printed off a load (a Reaver and 4 hounds) of Lucius pattern Titans. Is there any particular Titan Legions (apart from Astorum) that solely use that mark of titan? I'm a bit stumped as the what colours to paint them up in.

From what I can tell, I'm not even sure the Lucius pattern is "Canon" any more. FW doesn't sell anything in that design even in 28mm scale.

...Which is a long-winded way of saying that you can paint your  models how you like. I guess I'd potentially avoid any of the Mars-based Legions but really anyone might have got hold of anything during the Heresy.

I hadn't realised the Lucius pattern hound had gone! Blimmey, how long has that been gone? I have always liked the old Epic metal Warlord. Its one of my favourite models GW has done so a shame to see that style relegated to history. Not that GW was every going to release a Lucius pattern Warlord..... but still.

Do we have a date for these new Conversion Beamer weapons yet?

I did a slightly bigger version of the tower block, see here. I might wanna explore more shapes and sizes of this design.

In the meantime...Mighty Minis UK printed out all three of my new Tech Shanties:

Well I was a happy chappy today!! I received my Pre Order from FW today.

The weapons go together REALLY well. No warping, no miscasts or anything.

The rules are quite nice.

The Reaver/Warhouond weapon is 5pts less than a Plasma Blast gun. Str9 and str11 at long range (which is 20-40"). It is only draining at long range and is Dice 2. No blast.

The Warlord one. Well, thats 5pts MORE than a Belicosa so it's the most expensive weapon for a Warlord to date. It's str10 and Str12 at long range (long range is 25"-50").  It has Maximal Fire and again is draining at long range. Dice 2 and no blast.

Overall I'm not sure on the Reaver/Warhouond variant. Its not really safe to fire a Draining weapon on a warhound and if you want to get up close you'd be better off with a Plassma or a Grav weapon. The Reaver again tends not to sync with any other weapon really as all the arm weapons on a Reaver are fairly short ranged and you want to be 20+ inches away with it. I'll have to give it a few goes I guess.

As for the Warlord weapon. It seems like a beast. Up to Str14 and 2 Dice is going to cause some pain on something. In a Extergimus maniple it's going to cause even more pain. but then most things will.
