Thanks, Galloway!

Did this one differently from the rest.  I really like the way he turned out so I may do the next batch like this as well.  Though I'm not so sure about the chain sword.  I thought about doing a hazard pattern down the length just to bring some more color to the model.   Thoughts?

Muted hazard pattern or classic red to go with classic green with both work I bet.

Sniper looks awesome.

Thanks again, Galloway.  I've never been a fan of the red weapons scheme...I love Christmas but the green and red is too cartoony for me.  So I may try hazards as my courage builds for that-but who honestly wants to paint yellow? Haha.

Being a busy bee as of late (have to cram it in before work gets too crazy and grad school kicks off again), I managed to finish the rest of the sniper team. C&C always welcome; here to learn from the rest of you.

Unfortunately I dropped the last guy and the barrel broke off. Managed to glue it back on post-pic. I really like these rifles on these Marines. Remind me of the HK G36 platform-one step away from my fav (aesthetically speaking) XM8.

Aeri-not sure how I missed your response; sorry about that.  Yes, black is always a good choice.  Going back to the chainsword Marine, I decided to go back and do a white/black checker board pattern down the sword's length.  I've already applied a nice deep white so hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll be able to do the black.  Pics to follow upon complete.

Hey all. Long time no post.

Here is an attempt at Apologist’s true scale terminators.

Some clean up is necessary of this guy but it will be buffed out soon enough.

Next up is the completed banner bearer.

Thanks for looking!

Greetings all,

Hope everyone is able to go out and enjoy this warmer weather. A small update-a "true scale" terminator (Apologist style). I've always struggled with the Deathwing scheme but I think the dry brush method works out pretty well. Lacking are the pauldrons that should, hopefully, fill the shoulders/model out more appropriately in line with the traditional terminator structure. C&C always welcome!

Now for something different!

I got these little guys via vanguard miniatures just for laughs and because I really like the models. I also picked up a pair of AT warhounds (models are awesome) for collection and painting purposes. I'm imagining a joint task force in the making...

Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to comment on this thread, there’s some seriously impressive stuff here. I especially like your camo cloaks, and the true scale terminator has a really great gravitas to it. Can’t wait to see more!

TheWeepingAngel-thank you for the kind words!  Replies like this are additional motivation for sure.  I have three more camo cloak wearing Marines in the works.  Two more terminators are done and just need to be pic captured.

Galthan Ironstorm-yes they currently are pocked/hand size compared to the real deal forgeworld version...slightly cheaper as well!  I have two strike craft/interceptors in the works as well.  Hope to have them done in the coming week or so.

On another note. I finally took the leap at attempting to convert some of those lovely eliminator rifles into something akin to my beloved, but never to be, HK XM8 (aka the fish gun).

Below you'll end some not-too-sexy MS paint work at laying out my plan to cut, file, glue, and green stuff the plastic rifle into an XM8.

And here are the fruits of my labor. I'm pretty darn happy with the outcome (some sanding still required). Thoughts?

Another terminator close to being done.

I'm mulling over putting something on the big empty belt buckle (or whatever it's called).

Next up is the mini-raptor. Also inching closer to being done.

Thoughts, comments always welcome. Thanks for looking.

A little more progress on the epic scale Marines. First up, a view of things to come. ECD is TBD :D

gallery_19551_15776_190994.jpg

Up next is a Marine, beaky of course, that I knocked out. Got these dudes 3D printed and they are on-point!

gallery_19551_15776_392313.jpg

Another shot of the same warfighter

Up next is a WIP of the only stormbird I'll ever be able to afford...

gallery_19551_15776_155061.jpg

Another shot with slighty more paint (missiles and such). Still needs some decal love and maybe a BUNO number or some such on it.

gallery_19551_15776_139792.jpg

Still to be completed are about 20 more Marines and a rhino. Thanks for looking.

Yep, I'd prefer 6mm due to all the old stuff I have, but as I understand it the current Titanicus scale is 8mm and I'd love to see new plastic DA mini, mini mahreens in their scale...

I have loads of AT and are slowly working on more; that's why my DA thread has been neglected :(

Interrogator Stobz-my understanding is that it’s 8mm as well. The 6mm vanguard Marines stack nicely to the 3d printed 8mm beakies. So the actual troops are close enough in scale though I’m not sure about the vehicles as I don’t have any old school epic tanks to scale compare. In the near future I’m going to get some 6mm “what if” tanks (Jagd E-50) so hopefully they’ll be close enough.

Speaking miniMarines, I managed to knock out a few more and a rhino.

And in more traditional scaling, the sniper team leader work in progress.

Lastly, a near completed leader of some sorts (almost done).

Hey everyone. Been slightly busy with real life but managed to work on some of the mini-tanks. Fun little things to paint. C&C always welcome.
