Should consider some Locutarus and really give him the business.

Few more units finished for the iron Xth.

@Hungry Nostraman Lizard Sounds and looks like a great game!

@Cruor Vault They'll look ace when they're done, proper evocative of the scenes we read about in the books. Loving how vibrant those predators are.

@LameBeard I'm sure some cool fluff could be made to accompany a World Eaters Vigilator. Perhaps he sees it as his job to shepherd his more crazed brothers, guiding and protecting them from afar? Or perhaps he's the leader of the section that thrills in the destructive power of the heavy guns, taking his place amongst a heavy weapons team on the field?

Thanks! Was fun, I'm going to see if I can schedule another one soon.

I love these guys. Lots of Nostraman flavor. The second with the power maul has some amazing movement, and while I have considered it for eons, seeing terminators with webbing/pouches - this is probably my first time. I also like the claw from the upgrade sprue on the banner bearer. I really don't like the design of the mark VI powerfist/claw, but you made me reconsider it for Terminators!

@Hungry Nostraman Lizard that is a beautiful game and beautiful write-up! Now tell me more about those heavy bolters and why you like them. I could scrape a squad, perhaps for the World Eaters as @Pearson73 suggests, although would I give them cloaks? The extra heads need cloaks to work.

Cheers! I like what heavy bolters represent - a big fugg-off! style gun, wielded by a singular humanoid standing, moving - I always thought it was badass. In game, the amount of firepower that only five basic marines put out, it's really solid - my opponent ignored them because "Oh it's just five guys with JUST heavy bolters", but it's still 20 shots, hitting on 3's and wounding on 3's.

Now I'm no mathmatologistician, but that's a lot better than wounding on 4's (marines at least), and they certainly have made their points back!

Lovely work. The Leviathan's transfers really pop!

I made an Esoterist using  a CSM Sorcerer and some old bit. I prefer mine's pose that FW. He's less rude

Have any of you fine hobbyists had trouble assembling the new jetbikes - specifically getting the arms / hands to line up if you’re doing a sub-assembly and painting the rider detached?

I’m willing to accept I’m clumsy but they seem particularly annoying.

I don't. Not really fussed even if we do, though. Silhouette teasers just don't really interest me.

Edit: I was wrong. I still don't get any real pleasure from the trailer but I'm pleased for those that do.

Had some free time during Christmas break and worked on 2 Seeker squads.

Seeker squads are probably the best way to fill up fast attack slots for Black Reaving. Anyone else use them?

Nice work! My personal favourite Fast Attack slot for the Black Reaving is the Javelin speeder armed for tank hunting duties. But I’ve recently been shown the benefits of Seeker squads, especially for Zone Mortalis, where I can’t take Speeders. They’re really effective, just with the base Kraken bolters!

The new weapons set comes with a mix of single and combi-Banestrike bolters, presumably for use on Terminators. I don’t think it looks out of place on these guys, though.

Of course not, but I was wondering if the set has combi-bolter on it or not. GW don't specify much in the web site...

Characters of SoH also can take Banestrike combi bolters

Made some outriders for my Night Lords. I like the idea of cavalry forces like this, it's not something I've really used much in any sort of game system, despite having mostly focused on Ravenwing for my Dark Angels back 1.0.

I hadn't really looked at the rules for Outriders until I had half finished building them and saw that they ALL can take powerweapons now... but are T4. Darn. Still, I wish this kit would be made into pure plastic! This and the Javelins are some of my top-wanted for plastics.

Last conversions of the year, at least in this part of the world. I lacked grav guns for my breacher guys, so I made a pair with spares from Necromunda (Van Saar's upgrade sprue) and some broken bits.

I think look fine.

There's a vote @Grotsmasha is doing for competitions in the Forge this upcoming summer here

A few of us are vouching for a separate category for AoD/Specialist Games, so if that pans out, it'd be great for us to have a strong showing there in painting some models up. We'd just need to be ready to paint stuff up in the Summer months (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere).

I like the idea of a “Heresy Era” category, then we can combine Epic Scale and 28mm. And if they need to throw in Necromunda and those absolute legends keeping Battlefleet Gothic alive with us then we’d make them very welcome, I’m sure.

First miniature painted of the year. And I really hope not the unique...

A Consul/Praetor/Tybalt Marr for my SoH. Based in one of the fellas coming in the MKIV command squad and inspired in this illustration.

Hope you like him.

@Cadmus Tyro where did the the archmagos' head come from?

Hey mate,

it’s the Minotaur Skull from the GW skulls kit, horns cut down and top trimmed to fit the original Cawl hood. Right eye was covered by a lens, taken from the old scout sniper kit visor. Cables at the front are just the original cables from the Cawl kit. The cables filling the void behind the skull are all unused pieces from the Cawl kit. Small metal bead dropped into the left socket.

hope that makes sense!

Made the rest of the squad. IMG_3554.thumb.jpeg.e065a1ab3bac85e87615db052a53e216.jpegI’m still not decided on the Legion. Thanks to @Pacific81 I found this reminder that World Eaters recon is not any way niche.

But I might do them Word Bearers, because my traitor of a son has largely defected to Star Wars Legion, so if I want an opponent I’m probably going to have to paint some Word Bearers too.
