Seeker squad?

The Specialists Bolt Rounds are better.

Its mostly a choice between Veterans and Terminators.

Terminators are better served with the melee capabilities of shields and fists.

Go for veterans, with heavy bolters, in a Rhino with pintle-mounted heavy bolter.

Yeah, i probably do a Veteran Squad with Combi Volkites and some Melee Weapons, just to bring mor Choom to the table

Seekers would still be cool to see with those, even if they're not *optimal*, it's rule of cool. Get some of those kneeling poses like they're scoping in their targets.

I thought as a legion, they were pretty coherent, right up to the point that their fleet got shatered and Curze got captured byt the DA.

The NIght Lords then dispersed and went into the deeper dark, re-emerging in groups more like warbands with their own agendas, or that is how I felt it went with BL books. I am really interested to see the lore in book 9.

I may be basing my impression on the older background material rather than the BL books - I forget what I have read where!

Is the story that the NL destroyed their homeworld just before the Heresy erupted (and were about to be sanctioned for it) still canon?

At no point have I ever read that they were coherent and part of Horus' plans and command structure. I would rather this campaign had focused on them just going 'mental' and attacking worlds for the hell of it, perhaps with the loyalist Legions just trying to fight them off, rather than it being a plan of Horus to use them to attack sector X or whatever. That would have felt like a better 'fit' IMO, although it may be I am completely out of touch and what I thought about the NL has since been retconned! :)

I believe the Night Lords were working well together to hold up the Dark Angels, for every win the DA's got they suffered a loss and for every world saved another fell. It was very much cat & mouse, but the mouse had sharp teeth and claws :D

I think it was with the Lion using the daemon ball thing Tsugualsa or whatever it was called, he co-ordinated a surprise attack on the Night Lords flreet which effectively broke the back of the NIght Lords working as a full legion.

I believe the Thramas Crusade was Horus using Curze, to keep the Lion out of the wider Heresy, because the Dark Angels were a major threat.

Much like the Blood Angels being sent to the Signus cluster and the Word Bearers attacking the Ultramarines on Calth. With the Iron Hands, Raven Guard & Salamanders broken, Magnus turned from the Imperium, the Wolves sustaining heavy casualties, by getting another 3 legions sidelined, it effectively left the Fists on their own at full strength (well almost full strength after going to Mars & the battyle of Phall) to contend with. At the commencment of the Heresy nobody knew which side the White Scars would join as Jaghtai had once told Horus "when you call, I will come" or wordss to those effects & Malcador hd no idea where the Scars wer or what they were up to.

Horus had also sustained major casualties to several of his own legion on Istvaan 3 & 5, thinning out the loyalists, so he needed to put the odds overwhelmingly in his favour because the Emperors Children were unravelling, The Alpha Legion were conducting their own missions etc.

Coukd be wrong and happy to be corrected.

So a question for all:

Does Farith Redloss get a description of his appearance? Like, I remember reading somewhere that he has a goatee? I know he's a Caliban native, but an appearance would help, as I've started working on a conversion. Like hair colour and stuff.

In Unremembered Empire I think. Tri-pointed Goatee and an axe with an hourglass head is all I've really been able to find, as I haven't personally read the book.

I've definitely read the hourglass-headed axe (and know exactly how to make that... But :cuss me it's going to be expensive) but Tri-pointed goatee? That's.... That's gonna be something difficult to do

Conversion for Marduk Sedras's "Death of Worlds". It's comically large basically but the description says that it is, however the question remains: Does/would this conversion pull you out of the game?

Lemme know what you think!

Also it has to be cleaned up at the bottom still to look flush.

I'd go for a larger hilt so it doesn't look disproportionate. Think dark souls ultra greatswords

I'd cut the two spikes at the top that make it look too Chaos and I second the hilt advice, but otherwise I would be 100% okay with it. It's rugged appearence even looks like it was pieced from many metal shards beaten into a single blade.
