It also adds more thought to what unit you will try and tie up a tank with. You won’t just be charging any unit. You’ll have to decide what’s likely to survive the vehicle’s shooting.

Blackwood, you’re on to something there. Redemptors, leviathans, all dreadnought Chasis, and even sneaky invictor.

Another huge change now also confirmed:

The -1 penalty to Hit with Heavy weapons while Moving now only applies to Infantry.

That’s another huge boost to Vehicles and Monstrous Creatures, as well as Attack Bikes, for that matter.

*laughs in redemptor*

I hope they werent forgetting about bikes when they said infantry only. Attack bikes were pretty unviable for us

It would massively benefit heavy weapons on say a big new shiney class of landspeeder

Infantry only is Infantry only. Big boost to Attack Bikes, Land Speeders, everything. And a lot of these units were pretty much unplayable outside of very casual games in 8e. They really needed the change. Definitely coming right on time, with new Primaris Bikes and Speeders coming.

I know Suppressors are Infantry, but they need a special rule to negate the Move and Shoot penalty, too.

The Warhammer Community article specifically says, "Only Infantry models subtract 1 from their hit rolls when firing Heavy weapons after moving, meaning your Vehicles and Monsters will no longer be affected (nor will Bikes or any other form of non-Infantry units, for that matter)."

So yes, Attack Bikes will be moving and shooting with no penalty.

Cool. Watched the stream but only glanced at the article. The dream of onslaught bikers lives on

I might even get the Redemptor that I’ve had in the box for 3 years painted; it’s still in the shrink wrap.

Before 9th was announced, I bought 3 Invictors to build and use, and so far they only seem to be getting better.  If they stay at 136 points a piece, they are going to be very popular.

Anyone seen any rules that help CC yet? Havn't been keeping up with it all but new edition feels v.ranged at the mo!

Terrain or reserves info?

While we dont know about the specifics for the terrain rules we should be getting some clarity on that this week.

S'far as rules that help melee , a change to minimum board size means shorter distances to travel to get into combat.

Still  a lot to discover though.

The overrated* missile launcher for Longfangs will go up in points. Plasma Cannons looking like theyll get even better. Am hoping lascannons become good value

*am somewhat appropriately lobbing a grenade and walking away from it
