@AHorriblePerson, I've been looking again at Bionics and have seen Errata 1.1 replaced The Price of Victory Deed Best Craftsmanship Bionics to Master Craftsmanship Bionics, so that should mean you get the bonuses from Exceptional.

MR.

Thanks, I completely missed that! I suppose it's still up to Mol whether he intends to go with it, but it's nice to see that FFG cleared that up.

Sorry I'm late with this. Here are my purchases:

Hi all,

Apologies for ignoring some of you (and thank you to Mazer, Steel and A.T. for so deftly handling rules issues with a rules-set that is notoriously clunky and ungainly.)

I am beginning to write the first update for Episode III (I am still projecting a February 12th start) and I wanted to propose my thoughts:

I'd like Chaka Embe and Castor Boros to be members of Swordhand that were injured in the assault of the hive ship. They were placed into stasis by Apothecary Yeng, to be revived at Azurea once they could receive fuller medical care. This has the advantage for you that when you wake, you will have a number of close relationships already with the existing players.

I've targeted Titus, Vorkys Kol and Gideon Thire as members of Kill-Team Gallowbane. They've just been on a lengthy (two year?) operation against the Ork Empires of the Delvis Rifts. There, they worked to assassinate Ork warlords and chieftains to keep the tribes in a state of constant infighting and warfare. This precision work has prevented the Orks from uniting and posing a credible threat to the Imperium. To me, the three of you seem like you'd have some expertise in working stealthily and brutally (when necessary.) It'd allow the three of you to formulate a kinship together. In the early stages of the episode, Captain Diocles would reassign you to fill the gaps in Blackthorn and Swordhand.

Certainly Helgrim has been at the Watch-Station for some time - Achillion could've been too.

I know that TBTL has said that Solza is a veteran of the Watch, transferring from elsewhere in the Imperium.

ApostleRP and I have spoken about Artemios being new to the Watch for storyline reasons, so that's fine.

Pallan, Argus, Atreus Maladon and Incariel would therefore be new to the Watch at the start of this episode.

Does everyone feel this is appropriate? Is there anyone who would want to change around?

AHP: I am fine with the best-craftsmanship (exceptional.) I wonder if, based on this post, you might consider if some of your injuries could be due to the Tyranids, rather than daemons?

Works well for Pallan.  That way I can try for the whole redemption arc.  Also, still waiting on that PM mate, but I have "found" a copy of the rules as well as Rites of Battle so will be perusing that and seeing if I can nut it out.

Oh and if you haven't noticed I have started adding a path to redemption tab on Pallan's character sheet.

@Commissar Molotov I am not anywhere close to having read through the Roleplaying thread, could you give me some details on what exactly this means? How will I roleplay relationships I don't have?

Probably a case of fake it 'til you make it?

Fake it 'til you make it like Mojake said, and also probably speak with the existing players through DMs and establish what exactly your dudes would consider to be an "existing relationship".

Also as the CM's post; looks fine to me. Incariel being new to the watch gives me ample opportunity to fish-out-of-water offend everybody with his knightly sensibilities and social missteps. Prepare to witness a cringe compilation in the making 40,000 years into the future!

Argent - sorry, swamped with work. If you've got a (totally legitimately acquired) copy of the rulebook, you should be mostly fine. Rites of Battle has the additional rules. I can't off the top of my head remember about their "marks of shame" but there might be something there for Acost. Apologist's Apothecary Yeng already has the gene-seed failure one, so I'd like to steer away from that.

Petragor - mostly a case of instead of being "oh, hello, I'm Chaka Embe", you're just "Vorr, it's good to see you again." I will bring you and AHP up to speed. You won't be required to change anything about your character creation.

Likewise, I'm looking forward to when this kicks off in Feb, and I'll be tweaking Incariel's bio to reflect his introduction better as well as a few things on his sheet. I'll keep you posted on any major changes. Dice hand burning hot; typing hand oiled and ready to go.

I just wanted to say that having Vorkys, Gideon and Titus together as a squad prior to the RP sounds good, they all might have had some friction had they all been put together suddenly with slightly clashing personalities, but having to spend 2 years killing orks must build some sense of camaraderie with the trio!

Since I'm not sure on the scale of Azurea and the size of the garrison; what would it mean for Achillion that he's been there for some time in terms of relationships, knowledge, history, etc.?

I'm just going to assume that you guys have met me in passing but not had any proper dealings with me until now; unless CM tells me otherwise.

Boros starting off as one of the comatose members of Swordhand is fine with me

Happy to hear that you're okay with the bionics. As for how Boros got them, I find it more plausible that an organisation like the Deathwatch has better access to sophisticated cyberware like (master-crafted) bionic hearts anyway, so let's go with that!

Gonna proceed with writing down my character's wargear and equipment now.

Petragor: You can choose a Power Weapon using Signature Wargear. It's within your requisition range. It should be an item you have brought from the Celestial Lions - and such a worthy tool requires a name!

Apostle: Fire Selector is fine, as the DW plastics have combi-weapons with the special issue ammo. The only thing is that I don't see why you're using Signature Wargear (Master) to take the Combi-Weapon, which is only 15 REQ. Have I missed something?

Since we are on the subject could you theoretically take signature warhead multiple times to have a few things at that level. Like signature wargear: hand flamer then again signature wargear: chain sword since both fall in the req requirements and our fame level for that talent?
