Praise the Omnissiah and Blessed the Emperor. Rivia please make a decent roll since Helene abandoned her duties as Face of the Crew. lol

Varn - Feral and does deal well with non ferals
Kazimir - Rebuilt and doesn't deal well outside of combat due to basically PTSD and military overload
Rivia - is Mechanicus and can somewhat deal with people from positions of strength
Aria - is a Blank esque and people are bother by her sheer presence

Helene was really the only one with social skills.

Given that Helene is a Fanatic (and depending on how Petragor wants to play her) I would not be surprised if she in on the path to full on Redemptionist, so not exactly much better than the rest of you when it comes to being social with normal citizens.

You have fair chance of finding lodging, considering it is only a little past midday (even if it is as gloomy as dusk).

Also hopefully the random weather rolls will be kinder to you all for the coming days.   :ermm:

I believe we should take the commonroom and 1 meal (35 Thrones total) as the easiest/cheapest option and save Thrones for any additional expenses that come up (leaving 215 Thrones from the team supply). Any thoughts?

After securing lodging, Ravia will move to the machine shop and try to pick up various components for weapons upgrades (after she gets armourer skill she will be upgrading the team's weapons) and the livery to try to find any sort of repair items for the Goliath's comms system. Looking to pick up as much of the first for less than 50 Thrones, and use the team supply to fix the Goliath if needed.

Smif and Smyth, while being a machine shop are not going to have all that much for you to buy for weapons improvments, they are more a repair place. Take care of David first would be my suggestion, this is a city with all sort of places and the others might turn up usefull information in due course.

Helene doesn't really have social skills beyond above average fellowship and the etiquette talent to be honest... most of my starting XP was invested in "Not dying in the first combat", and rank 1 doesn't give many options for social skills besides. She can valet and sing though! (Noble starting skills are weird...)

On an unrelated note, shouldn't a cold inflict fatigue rather than wounds? I'll submit to your ruling either way, just asking.

Err, probably I guess.

My thinking was a small amount of damage (ie only lightly wounded status) would be less inconvenient (unless you go chagrining into a fight) as you already have fatigue lite (the bad night’s sleep penalty) and inflicting -10 to all tests for potentially several days could make all sorts of thing go wrong.

Fair?

I figured it wasn't a great fellowship you just are the only one not taking active negatives, I think.

Kazimir has a 20 Fellowship which thanks to rebuilt I can only count half and thanks to his voice I get a -10.....

And guys correct me if I am wrong

Ravia has an average Fellowship but gets circumstantial negatives because Mechanicus

Varn has his whole Feral thing I don't understand, and Aria has the negatives as a Blank.

I think Kazimir is the worst off but none of us are great lol

As we enter the second half of December I just wanted to let you all know that I will try to keep the game going at the current pace (which I hope is ok for everybody as it is) but if you know you are likely to be overly busy let me know so I can account for it, and if the majority is to busy to partake we can go on a short break.

Secondly we may have another player joining us, one of the players of attempt 1 of Archeotech as expressed interest (and had been busy at the time I started organising this reboot) so I am inclined to let them if that is fine with everybody. Just a possibility at the moment, so will see what becomes of it.

Petragor, putting this here as there isn’t much in story to say on this and is more of a player knowledge than a character knowledge event. Helene’s pray at the pilgrim shrine has given you a boon. You can either have a temporary additional Fate point (this will expire at the end of the session* if unused) or you can generate d3 bad weather rerolls, that is to say for the next d3 weather rolls that I make that result in ‘bad weather’ I will reroll, this may generate better weather for the next part of the journey.

*The end of the ‘play session’ is currently planned to be just before the teams arrival at site of interest 1 (Which I think was the lakes), circumstance may change this but for now that is the err ‘grand plan’.

I’m fine on fate points, so I’ll take the weather rerolls. On a d6 I rolled a 4, so that should be two rerolls.

Best option for repair seems like it would be to hire Kastn and help him out- not super confident that Ravia can do it all herself in a decent amount of time. I'll have Ravia tell him then have her wander various stores looking for weapon upgrade components, if that's good for everyone.

It’s a money verses time question, how much of the teams resources are you all collectively willing to spend on repairs vs time.

There will be a scene for the evening meal in the Inn, where the other can update you as to what they have scene in town, which will in passing also include the location of at least one location that can sell weapons or enhancements thereof.

I suspect that several of the others will want to do the same, so I figured that best be a scene for the next morning where all who want to go can do so.

Heck I would happy with getting the assault laspistol back into proper shape lol. Or a good whetstone to get the sword slightly better than a slab of metal.

A whetstone could probably found in either the Liveries shop space of supplies or in Furriers. They do have overlapping areas of customers after all with the later having more high end products.

As for the former, see above.

Happy New Year everybody, hope you have had a great time over the holidays.

I ended up being busier than anticipated, hence the lack of story advancement, but will try to get the next bit out tonight and then resume regular progression.
