Toks smiles again, then his face becomes troubled.

"Met Ags out here too."

He pauses, looking west along the street towards the Convent.

OOC.

@Lysimachus - The convent is by your map North-East of Rolling Rocks on the other side of the mountainous tor. Not West.

Any mileage in having our new friends pose as shuttle crew?

We have a choice between trying to avoid a fight here, but not removing any defenders, or fighting here and reducing their numbers, but making infiltrating the Sisters' base much harder.

Interesting idea, I'm not sure how believable a crew of one old guy and a ratling would be, but you could def give it a go?

I'll add an update to give you an idea of the size of the opposition, but I'll hold off on actually starting a Structured fight so you can decide how you want to proceed?

Edit: There we go. So, a 10 Sister squad complete with Superior, special and heavy. A few Repentia (3ish?) A Rhino. An Immolator.

Based on what Toks has said, this is maybe a quarter to a third of the Sororitas forces on Viorda?

Just trying to build some consensus from the team!

Edit: Having now read the update it looks as though combat is heading our way..!

I definitely don't want to take the decision out of your hands! If you want to choose to retreat towards the shuttle or out into the wilderness, then you still have time?

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women!

Watch out Conan, that the women don't drive over and crush your lamentations! ;)

Going to be an interesting one this...

Oh, I am really missing Spearcast right now :p

You're not in the Deathwatch now, boys!!! :D

Well, I think that's one vote for fighting?

 Very fitting...

See, it's not all bad not having your Power Armour, is it? ;)

what do we have that can take out the vehicles? The repenta won't like heavy bolters.

Kraks will do it, and Ithan's Grav-shear (servo-arm), especially if you go for weaker rear or side Armour?

Again though, if you want to discuss trying to find a more subtle solution rather than going into combat, I'm happy for you to talk it through?

You all saw him, that was a loaded question!

I'm out here in the middle of the Hive in a towel and flip flops, and this guy here is cracking wise? :tongue.:

@MG - will make with the Don Johnson Vibe asap.

Good luck guys!

Just as a note:

I have prepared a text file with the post ready for the start of the battle.

I will be intending to:

- Pass a Cohesion Test

- Activate Bolter Assault

- Conduct a Bolter Assault for our "ambush"

- End Bolter Assault

- Start "Follow the Traveller's Path"

- Use Tactical Expertise to spread the Squad Mode to you all

- Give all of you a +5 bonus to all tests

- Do my actions

If all goes well, dice-wise, it'd mean we start my turn with 8 Cohesion and end it with 3. It will certainly benefit us to keep Cohesion as high as possible - if players are able to chip in one/any fate points to raise our Cohesion it will definitely help.

Excellent, the Traveller's tactical acumen comes to the fore once more! :D

So, I think we just need Initiative for Vesalius (position was on the roof of the store, right?) and Initiative and position for Ithan, then we're ready to go...?

@CM - Draak's Mk 3 armour gives +5 to prevent Cohesion Damage.
