Thanks @space wolf - I'm really happy how the capes have turned out as well, and how they let me keep my squads straight.

With the end of Call to Arms, I've completed a couple of my conversions, which I am pretty happy with.

First off is my chaos abomination - converted from a malstrain coalescence.  I built him to use as a chaos ogrynn + my rogue psycher to form a chaos enforcer unit (and allow me to use the psycher model without using legends).

Biggest challenge was trying to get the eggs to look all mucousy - I had some success but didn't quite get to the look I was going for.

Anyway, here he is with his rogue pscyher buddy.

Second model I completed was my vindicator kitbash (modern rhino, old metal vindicator)

Think I may go back and build some little side plates to hide the notch where there shield connects with the shield "arms".  If I do the same thing again, I'll beat up the shield with some bullet holes and scratches - otherwise I'm quite happy with it.

The infantry models are great. The use of bits and kits was quite ingenious and the paint job only boosts the coolness of these minis. The abomination, as I think I've already mentioned, is a particularly special mini. It's suitably hideous and horrific - just right for the horrors of the far future.

But I have a soft spot for old Astartes vehicles. The reuse of pewter bits and the DIY siege shield make a great combination and a unique Vindi.

brother, that abomination delivers! That thing is SUPER GROSS! as for your problem of making them "mucusy...(sp?)" Have you tried using UHU glue? that stuff works great for drool and things.
