I have a new idea why there was the flamer shown with dmg2.

At first of all BT are a melee chapter but always used to be a chapter which were known for aggressive gameplay and "the holy bolter".

And Laeroth already said we have to deal with a few changes in the new supp.

My first thoughts had been dmg2 profile came from a pre-tested version of our codex and through any things of buffs it could be too strong (like a stratagem which makes all wounds into mortal wounds for example)... But know I have another idea. It could be a changed buff when it comes into a special Vow / Superdoctrine as well like White Scars have them in assault doctrine for +1 dmg in close combat - maybe we get it on flamer and assault weapons which would fit for us)

Then it go to the old topic about vows.

If GW don't feel it too complex, they could make different vows represent for different super doctrines. You start with original Knights of Sigismund, and if you have a surviving EC, it could perform an action to change the vow once. And stratagems to enable changing further times.

I just think about something. Maybe we will got like differents "crusade" who could work like successor chapter and give some small change ? (Like one more about shooting and could explain the 2 dmg) Edited by Sword Brethren Durion

" If your unit is not from the Deathwatch or a First Founding Chapter (Dark Angels, White Scars, Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, Blood Angels, Iron Hands, Ultramarines, Salamanders or Raven Guard), it is from a successor Chapter, and you must decide which of the aforementioned First Founding Chapters it is a successor of. "

Current successor system clarifies that predecessor need to be a first founding. BT would never use the same system. Don't dream about things like whirlwind+Artisan+Knights of Sigismund. That just won't happen.

Also, Helbrecht+EC+Grimaldus would be decent enough, to pursuade a templars player cancel the idea of taking "BT successors"(successor can't bring named heroes). If not, that would be a biggest failure.

A little off topic, but I just got my Black Templar upgrade sprue delivered, I didn't know it came with two sprues with shoulder pads. So it comes with 22 regular shoulder pads, and 10 terminator ones. This is actually a lot better than I thought. What kit do the front torsos fit on, the regular space marine tactical kit?

"This box set contains two sets of sixty-eight plastic components for upgrading any multi-part plastic Space Marine squad to a squad of Black Templars, and one set of ten plastic components for upgrading any multi-part plastic Space Marine tank or Dreadnought to a Black Templars tank or Dreadnought."

It seems had been reboxed at some timepoint...when I brought it in 2007 it contain 1 of each sprue.

I completely forgot about that detail! Yeah, then there's no way the supplement will allow bespoke crusades in match play. However, I imagine the actual Crusade-level of play rules will be all about how one's crusade becomes more bespoke over time.

For anyone on warhammer+, the painting black masterclass video is up

TBH Their video isn't a bit too much?

Yes thats a great video and tutorial. Also I love how Laurie uses paints and colors.

But for my taste that black is, too much. That is my POW though so, no offense.

It looks great and she explains it all very well but yeah its complicated but I appreciate the tutorial because you can extrapolate to other projects, like if you do this to that you end up with this look and its great to see tutorials that give you more tools than the more basic youtube stuff.
