Mike8404
2 hours ago, Marshal Reinhard said: We've had every flavor of this rumor as of now. From primaris terminators, to new classic terminators that are "chonkier" but the same, to the key word going away (making terminators just terminators) to, to a dual kit with crux terminatus less pads for use in 30k, to gravis marines simply wielding classic terminator weapons. That the new terminators are very true to the original indomitus design, just "chonkier" is the most recent, frequently stated one (while for example "gravis marines with terminator weapons" has practically disappeared from circulation) We know we're getting new Indomitus sculpts. I wouldn't say that's up for debate, it's also not related to Primaris range speculation because it's not going to be a Primaris unit. But there's no basis for GW to all of a sudden design an alternative to Gravis armor for a Primaris Terminator units when the Heavy Intercessors and Aggressors are both Gravis. A melee dedicated Gravis unit is missing and it stands to reason that's the new Primaris Terminator units everyone is talking about. It just makes sense at this point. Basing this off how every new Marine has been in one variant of MkX since 2016 and the chance of GW altering course on that is pretty close to 0% Edited March 12, 2023 by Mike8404 Master Commander Ajax and KnightofSigismund 2 Back to top

My thoughts exactly. GW really shoehorned Primaris into the lore in order to allow them to do things like Gravis armour. ‘Primaris-ing’ Indomitus pattern Terminators would be counter intuitive. Marshal Reinhard
They might just have the keyword. The keyword might just be going. The keyword might be staying and they're without it. FarvegNugan
Yes flamers are missing from primaris. Not like aggressors have 2 or anything. painting.for.my.sanity, Special Officer Doofy, Sergeant Centurion and 1 other 1 3 Back to top
Not An Ork
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a box that, while being its own thing, worked with the boarding actions terrain, without actually having any itself or relying on it. So something with with terminators, flamer troops and new light scouts (spitballing, obviously Phobos kind of means they aren’t needed). Basically no monster, flyer or vehicles, but lots of chonky/fun stuff. It would help set up a Spacehulk release later in the year, too. I think jump marines will also be later in the year with a more BA focused release alongside them like we got with Templars.

-DonCorleone-
According to Valrak, we are getting Primaris flamer squad. Seeing as how GW is splitting weapon options to full squad, could we possibly see gravis armoured grav cannon or lascannon squad?
Marshal Reinhard
Maybe a gravis grav squad like eradicators. "Grav rifles" and a couple of grav cannons. Not sure if eliminators are meant to have ticked the lascannon variant
Nephaston
Aggressors already have flamers, and hellblasters and inceptors already share plasma. I don't think GW is all too worried about covering the niches multiple times.

Dark Shepherd
If Primaris keyword goes then drop pods full of flamers could be fun Plus what better way to clear swarms Am liking Valraks rumours that gaunts are moving to swarm bases just from an opponent pov, moving 20 or 30 strong units takes up a lot of time phandaal and Doctor Perils 2 Back to top

Gaunts on a swarm base would be good, so long as people have a way to easily transfer their existing models onto those bases. Edit - apparently the swarm base thing is just speculation here.
