Lysimachus
Do you want us to continue with the Initiative order, boss, or wait until MG is reconnected/back in regular clothes? (Reynard shouldn't affect anything, I think - he will shove his Rebreather on, grab an extinguisher and head towards the fire ready to start putting it out in Round 2) Mazer Rackham 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382047-rt-the-silent-architect-oocdiscussion/page/11/#findComment-6039689 Share on other sites

We can consider it narrative time light (to keep moving and because I'm high as a Swooping Hawk on colds and flu juice). Lysimachus
Cool, done. Someone else might need to join Reynard on fireman duty, as with an average roll the fire grows by 4 square metres every turn and each suppressor only puts out 1 square metre per turn... Edit: or will the fact that Reynard is there fighting it mean that it is not 'unattended' and therefore it won't grow any worse while he is there? Lysimachus
Reynard doesn't have Tech-Use yet (it's one of my next planned picks) but I did take Medicae, so unless we have a ship's doctor hanging around somewhere, he will stay in case anyone needs patching up after they've got things running. Is there a medikit anywhere in this part of the ship? A.T.
Malvolio can perhaps step in and shield Reynard at the diverter, his void suit includes microjets and the void-weave cloak he wears over it is unnaturally heat resistant - if applied at double AP he can face-tank it for some time. There will be a cabinet somewhere with one. 9 minutes ago, A.T. said: Malvolio can perhaps step in and shield Reynard at the diverter, his void suit includes microjets and the void-weave cloak he wears over it is unnaturally heat resistant - if applied at double AP he can face-tank it for some time. Completely up to you lads how you want to proceed. Not a problem with this plan. Lysimachus
I reckon looking at the required diverter tests, Castinius might be the better pick, as Toughness tests and decent TB+AV are what is needed, and Reynard isn't massively well off in either department... Reynard will then be able to do some First Aid if any wounds do go through? Necronaut
@Lysimachus Petrus also has training in medicae now, so he can render assistance as needed. Super slammed at work this week -- I'm trying to keep abreast of things but I can't really formulate any posts at present. @Mazer Rackham Petrus will also attempt to assist Reynard in wrestling with the door lever as appropriate. A.T.
Mechanically speaking - the Chylde was equipped for limited silent running as it can maintain long range sensor sweeps and its escort while in silent mode (invisible to normal detection unless another vessel gets in close) so that is an option available. Of course until the ship can move again it is somewhat easier to locate that it would otherwise be. Mazer Rackham
It can be reasonably assumed, given the Chylde's size and profile, that whoever is out there hasn't spotted the ship, per se, but thy have certainly detected the warp translation.
