Great to see AT weapons in plastic.

Although I already have them all in resin so too late for me.

Definitely getting the Exodite and Squig Riding Orks Kill Teams. I will probably wait for individual release though, as I can never get the boxed sets in time.

I'd better keep painting my pile of potential until then.

My issue with the Exodites is less that the minis look bad (they look pretty nice) but more that with this they're basically locked in as "marginally different Craftworlders but on dinosaurs".

Yeah, this is what's getting to me as well. They're just too similar to standard Pathfinders. Really wish they'd gone with something closer to this classic piece of Blanche (RIP) art:

Still it's neat to finally have Exodite models, and they'll be reasonable conversion fodder if I ever feel like realizing that art on my own. Well, assuming I live long enough to paint my way through all these Orks, which...eh, 50/50, to be generous.

At least we got tiny titans, weapon packs they might be. *Looks slightly miffed at his resin weapon packs he panic bought a year ago when they were going out of stock*

As I have not looked at or build my Titans yet and can't remember all the resin weapons are these plastic ones any new weapons, or just plasticisation of existing resin ones?

Gotta say a little sad no actual marine reveal

You got one (1) new Space Marine LT in the painting box along with 5 different poses for the new Intercessors.

I think the thing with Exodites is that they've taken so long arriving that the design doc for what an Exodite even is has probably been rewritten several times now.

I'm fairly confident there was an interview where someone said the current Rangers kit was a repurposing of a scrapped Exodite design.

All this to say, they still have dinosaurs and this KT box makes 4 different units.

Corsairs were in a similar boat when they released with a different design than expected and they just got an entire wave, so there could still be more Exodite units in the pipeline.

Also being realistic they can't really make Exodites too low tech or they wouldn't vibe with the army they're a mechanical part of. They do have a different design style to Craftworlders and if the issue is Banners those seem to be something all Aeldari do.

Also the two Intercessors in the Space Marine paint kit are new poses and distinct from the five in the starter box.

Still, nothing really "new" but they're liable to show up a couple times over the next month or so due to wins in the interactive campaign. And then the reveals for the models dropping alongside the codex will be along in short order.

They'll be fun to convert with spikes and feral Drukari and Void Scarred bits

Yeah, the Lieutenant gag really seemed like a cheap promo tool for the new Primaris line back in 8th. The pace of releases really dropped off in 9th and by 10th I think we only saw three, with one of those being the Wolves-specific Battle Leader (a model which was at least as much of a Captain-equivalent Wolf Lord) and another being the hyper-rate Lt. Variel model from the Space Marine Heroes line.

Meanwhile I'm still waiting on Gravis and Terminator Lieutenants, though at least I can Crucible™ them

Where's my Jumppack LT I need to make my White Scars "We swear we're not Blood Angels" army even more stupid.

The titan heads and the Reaver arm weapons are new. Everything else is stuff that was  resin moving to plastic.

Some of the Reaver carapace guns are missing, so there might be more new Titan weapon sprues coming in the future. Same with the Warbringer Bellicosa. Finally, the Psi-Titan and the Armigers are the last AT kits to move to plastic, if they're doing all of them.

goodness, now to decide how to get those new chaos warrior bits without getting hooked in, because I do not care for the old world...

I just wanted to say that this is one of my favorite movies of all time lol

To say I’m disappointed in the LI preview is an understatement. I was hoping for plastic Armigers at the very least. Bummer.

Good stream

Lots of interesting bits in there, 30k was a bit of a let down. Was expecting something mech or legion specific in the salamanders / iron warriors vein.

I'm guessing LI is in the it's sold poorly so it's winding support down to quarterly token release like titanicus did

Keep in mind they've often done plenty of other preview stuff in warcom articles even a week or 2 after a preview show. MkIV marines are a big thing, yet they get dropped without so much as a hint during the previous release and right before this show.

GWs preview stuff has always been out of wack

For some reason (I'm not sure if its the way the weapons are posed, or the collar and helm combo, or a mixture of things) the Marine Sgt in the introductory set is giving me the feel of the old metal Marine veteran with the power mace?

If I got hold of one, I think he'd definitely get a weapon swap to match it more closely!

New Lieutenant doesn’t have much to show off his rank, Iron Halo aside. If I weren’t told he was a Lieutenant, I could’ve mistaken him for a Sergeant.

If it wasn't for the Sarge in the back being sensible and wearing a Helmet, I think I wouldn't have been able to tell which was the LT.

The dude up front is pretty different but the Dino rider in the back is kinda hard to see and could be not that different from a craftworlder.

maybe in a year or two that dude up front will be released as a special character, or at least a leader model. I do expect at least 1 character, 1 infantry unit, and 1 big Dino tank/transport to be released about 2 years.

Given that they're done up as Ultrasmurfs, the only clues that this is a Lieutenant and not an Intercessor Sergeant would be the right-shoulder icon (which we can't see) and the stripe on the helmet (which he isn't wearing). And of course the bigger base size.

The iron halo's not really a prerequisite - I think out of all the Lieutenants in 8th, only Amulius and Tolmeron had it.

Glad I waited to buy the Warlords I need for

my new Legio Mortis. This also means I don’t have to make the decision of wether to strip the paint off the resin weapons I have.

Would have loved to have gotten some plastic Armigers though.

The new Ork stuff just isn’t landing with me, might be because of my general meh towards 40k for the last few years though.

New content is always good, but I’m only really interested in 30k and thought the  Custodes stuff and certainly the LI weapons were things that’d get a warcom article announcing them. Was hoping for a big reveal we’d have a 30k flyer or Mastadon in plastic and a new Titan class for LI, so bit of a letdown really.

Those old world chaos models though…damn!

My position on the reveals:

• Custodes models were amazing. Telemon is my favourite there and it's just head and shoulders above (pun intended) to the rest of the releases for my view.

• Legions Imperialis/Adeptus Titanicus titan weapons were good. Look cool and nice to have extras. Additional thumbs up for the Adeptus Titanicus extras in the boxes. Plastic weapons yay.

• Necromunda new edition - ooo interesting to see what's changed. Crucially needed to cut down on books and extras. Nerves in play for what's cut in each House rules etc to have space in a single book.

• Necromunda boxed sets... yay finally. Wish it was done previously but hey I can always collect another gang right?

• Exodiates... not a fan. Sure I've wanted them for many a moon myself, but gone is the connection to a raw, almost feral version of Eldar. They look like someone just got some Dire Avengers and a Ranger and sat them ontop of AoS miniatures.

Distinctly boring and unimaginative, especially when you consider this art and original conversion featured in White Dwarf:

IMG_3164.thumb.jpg.25863f58e369ea314ebc20b496527b87.jpgimages-9.jpeg.af80ab201e0ca4e81dc0f1167b4ccb52.jpeg

• Finally the Ork stuff... looks good. That trukk would be the most incredible battlewagon in days gone by, so it is a great touch and it makes me think a pending new Battlewagon could be even better and on the cards. Rules look good for 40K if you're into that sort of thing.

Overall, a solid reveal. Would have liked more meat on the bones for Legions Imperialis just because I love it, but really for a summer release that is impressive.

Minor quibble on the Eldar dino-riders being too safe and casual conversions. They look well done of course, just an art style that brings nothing to the Eldar faction.
