+1 OC on the Ancients unit must surely be an error? RAW wouldn't that just be flat +1 and not +1 for each model?

If you look at the unit profiles, they list OC on a per-model basis so I think logically the Ancient rules would work in the same way. I.e. you increase the OC by +1 before you multiply by the number of models in the Unit.

Alongside that, why are heavy bolters magically S6 when an eradicator picks one up?

Clearly the gunshield on the front is incorporating some Cawl-tech to make the bullets bullet harder.

Some positives for White Scar players or fans of bikes in general.

Outriders are legitimately looking good. When you add a Captain you will basically always be able to advance and charge. And you can have a squad with 2 Thunder Hammers that are getting +1 damage.

I think this unit is going to be quite scary when it zoomes across the table and charges. Even the ATV has a more impressive damage profile with the Multi-Melta.

The lack of Assault on the Bike Chappy's Twin Boltrifles is a little annoying from a WS Cav perspective, but everything else looks to have improved.

That said, Outrider Squads seem to have lost the ability to add an ATV to the unit.

Devastated they got rid of “Ride hard, ride fast.”  It’s my go to stratagem. Declaring I’m going to ride hard, ride fast with the correct deadpan delivery  cracks the gaming group up every time.

I want to take a look at the book. I assume no one downloaded a virus using that link?

No viruses to report AND a Nigerian general invited me to a tournament

!Tramampamoline! Wulfen no longer take up 2 seats in Land Raiders!!!! Wulfen can go in rhinos too!! And drop pods

We don't have any confirmation of what units and characters can be combined.

That's going to be listed in the MFM along with the unit points.

Wasn't that listed in the datasheet last edition though? I got the cards last time and it is part of the unit composition there

I think Tactical Doctrine will possibly be even more valuable once you get stuck in. Fall back shoot and then charge again. Especially tasty if we can still add ATVs (seems unclear at this point).

It's a card game, don't think too much about it.

Hellblaster doing D2 regardless of overheating? My link isn't working right now, so I can't have a second look. Can anybody confirm?

Yes, I just spotted the same thing myself. It is ironic that the one squad that is better at overcharging now has less incentive to do so. I wonder if it is a typo?

Vs Marines, it is hardly worth supercharging. Going from S7 to S8 no longer changes the wound roll vs T5. You already do 2 damage and the only change is the extra pip of AP. You are likely to do as much damage to yourself from overheats as you will extra damage to the enemy. Against units with an Invuln, you are actually better off NOT supercharging!

Yes it was. This is a change in 11th edition.

I personally hate it

No virus for me! But you should definitely check out the Mr Beast money giveaway offer I can send you in DMs...

I looked through the Codex leak and counted all the helmets on the shots of the new Intercessors. I counted 6 Mark X, 3 Mark VII, 1 Mark VIII and 1 beakie helmet. 6 default Mark X helmets in different styles and 7 classic style heads. That leaves 2 out of 13 that are of unknown mark at the moment. I made sure to check their bolters for the location of the magazine release to confirm they are images of the new Intercessors.

I find it funny someone has photoshopped helmet plumes on all the primaris lieutenants for their datasheet. Even with their meme level amount of models I don't think any actually have helmet plumes.

Thunder hammers get +1 to hit roll, other melee get the +1D, all gain sustain 1.

Well the codex compliant article is up and White Scars get absolutely shafted because apparently our special little Detachment is already in the codex.

Which is strange because I can see the Imperial Fists at the top of the Detachment.

Everyone else gets special buffs for their named guys but we don't get that treatment apparently.

Oh, and Dark Angels get the ability to have battleline bikes because apparently we can't have anything that DA don't have better.

This is gonna be the same nonsense we have now where our preferred Detachment is locked to 3dp 'cause it's getting abused in Comp by 3 divergent chapters at once except now we don't even have our own White Scars specific Detachment to use instead.

Yes they do. It is right there at their core abilities.

I agree with the sentiment, it stinks White Scars get nothing. Off the top of my head I can think of how to make a 2 DP detachment which is to mobility detachments as Gladius Task Force is to doctrine detachments.

I do understand how the conclusion was reached that Spearpoint didn’t need updating. Stormlance didn’t need a lot of alteration to fit into the new Marine codex design paradigm, and the Spearpoint character bonus is now baked into the character. The others are based on detachments which saw drastic changes and their character bonuses were not baked in. I don’t agree with the conclusion though; White Scars deserve something too!
