Another quick question - Has anyone use the Forge World Horus Heresy World Eater transfer sheet & do the icon fit onto knee pads?  I'm thinking of order them on Monday for a unit I want to add to my Iron Warriors grand company/call of chaos vow.  I'll hopeful start building the unit next week.

Yes they do. 

 

Off the top of my head, I recall the "XII" numeral and variations of the World Eater maw both fit on knee pads. There are even War Hound iconographies that are small enough to fit!

 

I found the small decals easier to apply on Mark IV armor (smooth, flat surfaces).

Thanks for the help in regard to brass etching & transfer.  I've mange to get my Rhino painted up recently & now waiting until this weekend to order the Horus Heresy box game so I can use some of the MkIV armour to conver the unit to go along with this

Still a few bits to still paint & also letting the MIG Pigment fixer dry see if I need to add another layer weather powder or not?

Mark of Khorne, inspired by Chaos vs Ultramarine display from Warhammer World.

Pretty much the background for this unit will be theme around the display board from Warhammer World with the Daemonkin vs Ultramarines.  Try get that this is a squad of lost company/shatter squad type thing drawn together & basicly going all out for Blood for the Blood God.

I'm looking forward converting up the models next weekend & adding them to my Iron Warriors force.

Spartan Assault Tank In Wrath Clad

XII Legiones Astartes, III Echelon, LXXVII Battle Company

 

Depicted here as it appeared at the outbreak of the inter-Legion hostilities, this vehicle is one of five examples of its type assigned to the 77th Battle Company. The In Wrath Clad served as the personal transport of Centurion-Captain Voss throughout both the late Great Crusade and early Horus Heresy eras, the rumble of its mighty treads having been heard in both the Isstvan System and Ultramar itself. 

 

Already heavily armored and powerfully armed, the In Wrath Clad had been further upgraded with advanced auspex and vox systems to serve as a command vehicle. Furthermore, its speed allowed it to keep up with the formations of rapidly advancing Sicaran and Predator tanks that Voss was known to favor. 

 

In addition to standard World Eater iconography, the In Wrath Clad also displayed the image of the collar hound on its starboard hatch - a proud reminder of the XII Legion of old, unsurprising given the fact that the bulk of the Legionaries serving in the 77th's armored units, as well as the Centurion-Captain himself, were once War Hounds. 

 

The In Wrath Clad would outlive its master, enduring the fires of the Horus Heresy up until the Traitors' assault on the Sol System itself. Its burnt-out, shattered hulk was identified in the aftermath of the Siege of Terra. An ignominious end for a once-noble machine.

 

And look what else has arrived... :D

I finally finished my World Eaters. All 4000+ points of it. It's taken me 18 months and cost me thousands. No regrets, because THE HERESY TRAIN HAS NO BRAKES. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

@IP: that's a great looking rhino. I do gotta say though, I cringe a little every time someone puts the marine's legs bits in like that, instead of inside the hatch. Besides that, the weathering is perfect as is. Don't so anymore :tu:

His hair reminds me of Till Lindemann's, whom I suspect of hiding butchers nails under it.

Post-heresy (813.M41).

I, Astarax the Slaughterer, Chaos Lord of the Skull Reavers warband, step forward an proclaim my allegiance to Khorne and all his mighty avatars and chosen.

Bloodshed and everlasting chaos in the name of Khorne is all that matters for me and my men, and we fight wherever there is a carnage that can be enacted.

The Skull Reavers were up till now a marauding chaos warband, but recently they have been called, as with other chaos warband, for a glorious decade long siege on the worlds of Vraks, heeding the call of Zhufor the Impaler and Arkos the faithless. 

 

Hoping to reap many skulls and allow the legions of Khorne to enter in realspace to unleash the full fury of the Blood God, I, Astarax, and my men are now preparing to land of the desolate lands of Vraks Prime and begin our long carnage.

Currently getting this squad painted for Call of Chaos, World Eater unit that theme around the Chaos vs Ultramarine display from Warhammer World.  I've still got a few more battle brother to build for this unit, just gather the parts for them right now.

Once on the side/waist are from the Horus Heresy models - plastic MkIV armour spure.  While the axe are from the Age of Sigmar models from the box game.  One that the front from the Khorne model that hold the Icon from the Age of Sigmar box set & thank to Biohazard I've got another one spare as I've still add three more models to this unit bring them to 8 :D

Just say thanks for the help with the brass etch & transfer question.  Here the Bloodborn unit, inspired by Khârn Eater of World novel** & the Warhammer World display of Chaos vs Ultramarines.

 

**Khârn Eater of World exsplain about the bloodborn, sort of death oath, exile, there own reason type unit.  So that why you'll see Destroyer in my unit & because I wanted to paint them.  While the other World Eater just join the unit recently & why they don't have the skull mask like the others.
