The Resistance have finally captured the war machines they believe they require to make their stand.
Brutus, the Malcador, reliable, dependable the spine of their battleline. She will not fail them. She will hold the line, her battlecannon roaring, her sponsons blazing as she paves the way for the Resistance's advance.
The Iron Duke, his twin Earthshaker cannons blasting holes in the enemy's fortifications. He guards those retreating and the wounded behind his massive blast shield
So am I back from Indiana. I have to head back to move In-Laws into a Retirement Center, in a few weeks. And of course everything goes sideways at work moment I get back. So hobby time has been non existence. Silver Lining is LGS not get Saturnine until Monday, so I can get everything I need to do first i.e. my XIXth Legion and Exorcists Call to Arms Vows, that I have not started. And won't have time this weekend.
I did start on building one of My XIVth Legion Commanders, not sure w
Hi Folks,
Today’s blog entry is a little bit specific as it deals with something different from my usual inputs: instead of reporting hobbying progress, I will talk about a trail I did for a new technique (à la TITH – i.e. something that is not new in general but new for me).
The technique is often reported on purpose of adding details and create battle damages or war-torn marks on miniatures. But beyond painting damages, the sponge might be used on purpose of
Hit the throttle on the Wreckas last week. I've been painting pretty slowly this year all things considered, decided to change that with this project. Finished up free-hand on a few items, got the squigs painted up, did the bases and oil washes last week resulting in a final project I'm pretty happy with!
I dug out some of the leftover terrain bits I had from the sector imperialis/Chalnath terrain. I put a fine terrain paste around those bits and then put in some sand to act as larg
Finished termagants brood and first ripper swarm. Like models, even though they're push fit. But due to how they sculpted it's fine even if you make a full brood of same sculpts they looks great.
Painting this guys is a truly rest after Militarum infantry. May be it's a different scheme or models. I don't know. But I'm sure this year I'll going with alternate painting. IG and Nids.
Now I started my little, though very hungry Tyranid forces. I decided to continue my theme of lizard/zaurus theme I used for my reveners kill team. Reworked a bit skin tone by altering midtone. And make unified for whole force color scheme. Ivory/pinkish belly, new ivory-orange-brownish red scythes/talons/barbs.
Scouts don't want to stand out in the open; they want to make opponents commit and waste more than 65 points to dislodge them. Even taking 5 bolters doesn't really do much, 5 bolters on intercessors, however, is really good due to their special rule. The missile launcher makes your opponent second-guess their positioning (lest a Krak missile get lucky); a sniper rifle does the same with precision to a squad with a character. The chainsword and knives then give you a chance to cling onto an objec
Took your advice. Had some Black Templar Neophytes from the Crusader box lying around...
I'm going to have to hunt down a Sniper Rifle and Missile Launcher.
You recommend combat knives over bolters?
