This is that time of the year again, Call to Arms challenge is coming back.

For this 4^th iteration, my contributions will probably follow a distinct path vs. previous years. Let’s be clear, I was organizing my pledges so that I compete for the points in a limited number of categories. This was made possible thanks to a back log that was, let’s say, substantial.  But after years of accumulation, and then years of painting, saif back log has melted like polar ice under a Saharan sun. I am left with limited material.

This year’s target is therefore more related to finishing collections and closing loops.

The first loop to be treated is, in priority level, the AdMech. I have some kits waiting to be built for some times now. Within exception of 2 squads of Hastarii, all the rest is in stocks for more than 2 years. That bunch of material will be a good pledge in the Imperium stronghold. Let’s see:

-          10 Hastarii – 10 pts

-          3 Serberys – 6 pts

-          5 Pteraxii – 5 pts

-          2 Iron striders – 6 pts

Total: 27 pts

The second loop to be treated is my scenery. I am left with some Containers and a Fragdrill plus sufficient bitz for one or two barricades or homemade scenery. Let say about 23 pts in total or almost. It might be enlisted in any stronghold and might complete the AdMech eventually.

The third loop is the ooP Epic material. Still no inventory done yet but part of the tiny SM can be pledged in the HH Small scale (loyalist). As far as the squats are concerned, it might end up in the Xenos forum under certain conditions to be agreed and validated by the organizers. But I do need a list and pics before thinking about enlisting. Generally speaking; this is part of my backlog that I’d like to complete in priority, but I do lack motivation and perseverance in order to reach any kind of progress. Sooner or later, I will have to deal with this though.

The fourth and final loop might be my "not-GSC" : a kit bashed custom AM regiment that might as well end up in Xenos or in Imperium. But it requires a lot of job before going to the paint job. Yet there is the potential of something like 40 to 50 points, inc. 2 Ogryns, some command sections and at least 3 infantry squads. But I feel like starting to work on the kitbashes is like calling for the attention of the eye of Sauron upon AM with the risk of getting my assemblies invalidated sooner than latter.

So what? I will be satisfied if I can close the first two batches and get up to the 50 pts completed. Yet, doing some EPIC stuff could be also very rewarding. I just cross fingers for being strong enough not to add some new purchase to the list. Even if Imperial Knights looks appealing. But this is another story.
