I have committed to update my Orks this winter after other army hiatus. Had a couple good games with a Ghaz / Megas / Deffkoptas, Gork & Morkanaut combo, lots of Boyz, Stormboyz & Gretchin. It is good at taking and overrunning objectives early and certainly close combat with the right CP support. Seems to hit fairly hard. The numbers can definitely bog some armies down. Good at achieving Tactical/Fixed Objective cards too. There is a good selection of units that are effective and Leader combos. Its predominantly an assault army - there is little to buff shooting so its mostly just supporting fire. Get stuck in! lol

Very cool game going there Ciaphas. Personally I wouldve said take the Death Maiden instead but to each their own haha. Hope to see more, cheers -

Thats a cool custom slate there Antarius - I would love something similar for Necro gang cards. Those tokens can get bumped or lost so easily. -

That is a cool gang man, get some some paint on those gangers. Heavy stubbers can put in the work in some situations, I just think they cost a tad high.

Those are great Antarius - I really like the realistic texture of the dune. What material is it made from?

Looks pretty Munda to me Grom - nice work. What is the tarp cloth made of? The power junction is very convincing.

Happy friday folks - a few quick shots of my new buildings (I did them as a pair) Still a bit of weathering to go but I figured they were table ready. I wanted to add some vertical depth to my hive board so I built them pretty tall. No GW parts - most of the materials are stuff you can find free or a dollar store; Xmas cookie tins, small cardboard boxes, cladding is cut up card, corrugated metal is coffee cup sleeves, big pipes are a kids toy off amazon, pringles can, etc. A few odd gangers loitering around for scale, hope you enjoy --Ak

Project Log Dos' Underhive Dive: Enforcers bore me, help requested [25/08]
Akrim replied to Dosjetka's topic in + Necromunda +
Cool gang you have there Dosjetka, you have really given them a unique look. Glad to hear youre enjoying them - you ever try a Deathmaiden? They are just vicious in melee or counter assault. Good call on the Ammo jack - great way to get a quality bolter in there.- 38 replies

Personally the Sanctus has been in most of my lists, but I have been keeping with the Sniper Rifle & Gift From Beyond relic. Dmg3 and a 50/50 mortal can be a one shot kill on some factions and being able to start maiming characters turn 1 is just so valuable to me. Plus like you say - hes a couple floors up in a ruin, hanging out with the Reductus and just doesn't get targeted. Good points on the bio dagger though, I may need to sample it in a game.

Perhaps consider Venators - you can forge your own flavor of gang and take some exotic wargear combos.

Ash Waste Nomads What gang rules to represent Nomads from outside the Hive?
Akrim replied to Trokair's topic in + Necromunda +
I guess I would probably say Chaos Cults, or Genestealer Cults? Really depends what kind of force you are envisioning, shooty or assaulty, what sort of weaponry, etc. -
Unit of the week series: Blightlord Terminators
Akrim replied to Plague _Lord's topic in + DEATH GUARD +
Lately I have been using a single unit of 5 - Axes, Blight Launcher, Melta Champ. Usually they form a wall for my Con Lord & Plaguecaster on the advance. I tend to favor -1 to hit Miasma on them, especially if im using We Stand, We Fight secondary. Sticking to cover definitely makes them quite difficult to destroy. Overall it is a great unit; potent shooting, potent melee, incredibly tough. Its also Core so it can make use of the Lords buffs. Your main worry is mortal wound spam, or poor positioning that results in them being isolated. I tend not to spend a lot of CP on them (maybe if I ran a larger unit), mostly psyker buffs. I have run Plague Surgeons with them, excellent combo.
