Hi all, I was very keen to do a McFarlane figure repaint, but I decided to lock the joints and make a statue. This will be for someone else, and they have requested it be a Blood Angels Captain. I wanted to pose him like I have a 1/10 scale head from another model that seems to be scaled correctly enough, but I will sculpt a bit of hair on him. The Chainsword is from the McFarlane Assault Primaris marine, but will just be a place holder for the weapon he ends up with, sword, axe, hammer, im not sure yet, but we'll see! Hi, just found out the neighbours play 40k and plan to have a few games in the yard in the sunshine. Obviously, I want to play a fun, but competitive list, so I finished painting up my assault squads and settled on a jump list. It's a fairly straightforward list, an incursion 4 way tourney, Necrons, Tau and some space marines, not sure which chapter. Just Incursion games, nothing special. My list has Captain with relic blade and jump pack Sanguinary priest with a jump pack Sanguinary guard and ancient A pair of assault squads A storm speeder Hammerstrike All told, with wargear comes to exactly 900 points. My question to the forum is thus: Assault bolter Inceptors, or Suppressors? The anti infantry fire of inceptors, plus their extra toughness and wound is attractive, but denying overwatch and D2 is pretty handy as well. The Hammerstrike is there to look good, and blow up tanks. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a captain loading for the ninth company of a BA successor? Kid of spoilt for choice and was just looking for ideas for making a really good looking Master of Relics. I'm leaning towards a pretty bolter for range, maybe using it as the Primarch's Wrath bolter? But not solid on it yet. Have some good combi-weapons from the sternguard set, and I'm using the space marine captain model as a base (the one with the Aquilla back pack) any help would be grand.

This isn't a list post! I ran all Death Company for the vast majority of the games I played in 8th and 7th. Even if I lost, the Death Company did their job if most of the opponent's forces died. I win more when I set my own objectives. With points changes in 9th, I'm going to field less models. But the real problem is detachments. I was using a Vanguard and a Supreme Command detachment. After upgrades to Smash Captain and relics, I had 3 or less command points, as again, the theme was no one is supposed to survive. How can I get the following into a reasonable number of detachments and still use relics and make the characters death company or chaplains? No primaris models. Hi all! This is my first post on the forum so sorry if I'm not doing everything right A friend recently got me into 40k and I played a few matches with my other friends armies and, being a bit of a pyromaniac, found I played best with the blood angels, I love them! since then, I've been trying to start an army, although with very limited budget because....well... I'm a kid. I'm thinking of buying the starter set but might consider saving for larger, better value sets. Does anybody have any recommendations on sets (on a small budget) if so, can you give me the best equipment for the point value? provided I prefer to attack close range with long range support fire. Are there any rules regarding using space marine HQs. Also, any recommendations for a good support HQ? (not too concerned on budget for this). Sorry for asking so much, I just want to start right as I've very little experience in army building.
