Salvaged from a previous project to count as Cultists with the background of failed Night Lord initiates acquired from another warband. Think scouts gone wrong. -

UPDATE: The Liber Astartes article with the warband's full background and writeup can be found by clicking on the following image: And in Inspirational Friday: Timelines of Treachery you can find all the fluff/fiction I've written about the warband over years of IF entries. The mere bones of a project at the moment, but I do hope to (slowly, as my IG are my main army and my Scythes of the Emperor is slow enough. This project is likely to be glacial) build up a Slaanesh-themed CSM force (or, if GW ever produce a pure Slaanesh book, then chaos marines and daemons). Their name will be the Psychopomps. In Myth 'psychopomps' are creatures, spirits, angels or deities whose responsibility is to guide newly deceased souls to the afterlife. These marines and their followers have decided to start giving souls a bit of a kick start on that journey.

I've had a chaos army for...well, every. I've decided they needed an overhaul, mostly because my ADD seems to not allow me to work on one project at a time. So, these guys were dusted off, unboxed and painted dark brown. Here's the paint test 'dummy'....though I don't call him that too his face. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MCd9rnCyCbo/T8bn0RSEAnI/AAAAAAAAAbQ/wWzqXs1GeYQ/s1600/TemplarDm001pip.jpg I have about 27-30 or so of these marines, converted to be a bit nurgly. I'm going to use them as regular marines with a Nurgly icon. I've got some other toys I'll be showing you in the near future. But the overall concept is as it has been since the last codex came out- stinky, nasty Nurgly... with a bit of Khorne. Here's one of my Nurgle champions, painting in progress. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qO6pB2eiiMU/T8botOHcKbI/AAAAAAAAAbY/zwt8KIUo0Zs/s1600/ChampNurg001pip.jpg More foolishness on MY HOBBY BLOG if you want to check it out. Cheers ya'll!

Hello everyone! I wanted to add some female models to my CSM warband so the first thing that I thought of was female cultists, however, I haven't been able to find many models that appealed to me. I did get the 'Renegade sister with daemon gun' from WE because I thought it looked cool but that is just one model! Also, I'm not a big fan of the Slaanesh motif so I don't want all of my girls to have that design. I also thought of the Eschers from Necromunda and the Jailbirds from Raging Heroes (I kinda like the JL better) but they didn't seem to fit with my Iron Warriors and Death Guard warbands. For the IWs, I'm thinking a more renegade guard style works best and I love the range of models of Raging Heroes Iron Empire (from their Toughest Girls of the Galaxy). The problem still is that they wouldn't mix with a cultist unit and I don't think I want to spend that much money right now to get a third army (Renegade Guard) so my intention was to still run them as cultists if I wanted to have a battleforged army but in a separate unit from the rest. However I feel this would not work so well with my Death Guard so I still want to look for other models that fit the cultist vibe better. Still, I'd like to see your opinion. Eschers/Jailbirds as cultists? Iron Empire as Renegade Guard? Other models that could work? Thank you beforehand!
