Armies collected: Dark Angels, Ravenwing, Fist of Dorn (SM), Orks, Lost and the Damned Make your mark: Started playing when a friend gave me some of his left over blood angel models and those Old 2d Ork models, and I was hooked from there. And to this day, I keep having to defuse bad rumours about fluff in my local hobby store. Rizara
Name: Midnight Angel Age: 28 Country/State: USA, Good Ole Georgia Occupation: Satellite Installer Time spent in the hobby: Started painting mini's around 95, but got into 40k/fantasy in 97, been an addict eversince, tho just really getting back into it after my online addiction for the last 3 years(dang those MMO's.....can't wait for a 40k one tho) Armies Collected: Hmm....where to start. Back in second edition i had a sisters of battles army, dark angels(deathwing and regular company) and chaos(slaanesh), since then i have dabbled with just about every army out there, but my main armies since then have been sisters, Various marine chapters and DIY chapters, and Chaos, tho i have fielded full tau and eldar as well. My current armies that i am working on is Eldar and my DIY dark angels successors, Angels of Desolation. Make your mark: Well i spent 2 years as an outrider and 1 year as a GW retail, i have won a few local painting contests and helped bring up the quality of painting in my local area, as i am more of a painter of late than player. I also won a GW staff contest back in the EOT campaign with an eldar farseer. I do however have a cruddy camera so i can never get good quality pics of anything. My hardest problem with collecting an army nowadays is i never end up painting official color schemes, always gotta make the army my own. Make your mark: Well a friend showed me some models, and I though they were pretty cool. Some time later I accidentally walked past a GW store. I went in and bought some paints and models, and I have been hooked ever since . I paint models for fun, showcase and sometimes for a competition. I enjoy painting competitions, and I have won some of them in my short hobby career  The only 40k army I have ever played is of course the Dark Angels, but I will make a new one now that the new codex is out. I like the Dark ANgels because their history and fluff, their paint-scheme, and of course their sinister and dark appearance. Armies collected: Dark Angels, Ultramarines, Tau and Necron Make your mark: I started playing Ultramarines, but then I started reading Angels of Darkness and other Dark Angel related things, and I began to think that, this was the army for me, so I bought the codex (the old one), but never got started. But when the new codex was released, I just knew what I had to do: Get the army started... So that's what I did. I am building an army worth of 3500 pts. build up as Deathwing-Ravenwing army, which by the way might be the greatest new option in the Codex... Lieutenant_Darling
Name: Lieutenant_Darling Age: 36 Country/State: Weymouth, Massachusetts Occupation: History Teacher Time spent in hobby: Three years playing 40K. Fantasy since 1986. :-) Armies collected: Imperial Guard (3500 pts.), Tyranids (4000 pts.), Space Wolves (3500 pts.), Black Templars (3000 pts.), Witch Hunters (4000 pts.), Necrons (3000 pts.). Far too many fantasy armies to list. Make your mark: I'm also an American Civil War reenactor - 18th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry (Old Colony Regiment) - practicing battlefield tactics with real bodies and blank ammunition since 1999. Â Hello all, I've been reading this board for a few months now and decided to stop lurking and introduce myself. I'm a school teacher (and so have summers off). Each summer I collect, paint, and then play a new army and this summer I've decided to collect Dark Angels. Nearly all of my games I play at home - my two sons play Emperor's Children and Tau, and they are looking forward to fighting off some Ravenwing Attack Squadrons. Â Out of my bits box I've managed to create 5 tactical squads, 1 Ravenwing attack squadron, 3 Deathwing Attack squads, and a Landraider Crusader. I've been making several army lists using the new codex (at my house we play games of 3000-4000 points) and haven't decided whether to do a Ravenwing heavy, Deathwing heavy, or Battle company list. My bits box gave me a huge start, so I have flexibility here. Â Thanks for maintaining such a quality forum - I've enjoyed reading it for these past several months, and look forward to contributing my opinions from time to time. Â For the Emperor!
