Lamenter's Actual Scale Space Marines

Here is another option link, its a bit more expensive but they are actual stainless steel balls 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2.0 mm. TS The terminator seen here uses 1.0 mm balls for the rivets and a 2.0 mm ball for the belt buckle.

That terminator looks really big- I think 1mm balls may be to big for rivets on Lamenter's models.

It certainly is big, but the 1.0 mm revets work fine, look at the rivets compared to the models stock GW head. I bought some myself and they work fine. The glitter beads that I bought are 0.5, 0.6, 0.75 mm though, so you can go smaller with those, just use a slightly smaller drill bit, than the beads diameter.

The Grandt Line rivets I use come in 0.032", 0.043" and 0.063" diameters. I've only used the first two (smaller sizes) both of which can be seen on this almost finished Mark III. Note the Mark III is still awaiting the appropriate backpack and is shown here with one from a Mark IV.

Next up will be the long awaited Terminator Squad, and a tutorial for a basic marine.

Wow - just incredible!

How the heck do you sculpt the hoses? Normally I just see people use guitar string.

Just thinly rolled GS, attached in the position you want it, then allow an hour to firm up before scoring the detail on with a sharp knife.

Very simple, just don't add the detail while it's soft. :)

Problem with guitar string is it only bends so far, and so is hard to shape. It is good for longer cables however.

Terminator anyone? :)

Wow that Terminator is amazing! Are you going to build more of them?

There's 5 more currently in the works, for a 6 man squad.

They're all going to receive magnetized arms for a full range of options (I think 16 pairs all together).

Obviously the Crux Terminatus isn't finished yet, and he could do with a few details but otherwise this one's pretty much finished.

That.

Terminator.

Is.

Sexy.

Oh good lord, I have to get a commission off you!!! ^_^

Good-looking Alpha Legion, too, any particular reason why they have Storm Bolters and Power Weapons?

Is the commissioner going to use them as termies for games, or something?

Arenis

YES. YES! Finally a terminator suit that makes sense. Though the leg pistons don't really look like pistons. And making them look like pistons would give the armour that 'heavy' feel.

Thanks... but pistons?

I'd agree pistons would add to the 'heavy' look but I don't recall any Terminator models with leg pistons.

Wait, this is something the Chaos terminators look like they have, not the Loyalist terminators... My bad.

I love These guys! I saw those guys at the top of the page and I knew you were the beez knees! But then the squad and I thought you must be the 19th Primarch!

But then the Terminator came out... :( :( Why? Whats wrong with you? Are you mental? Do you have any idea what a terminator looks like?

Apparently so! That is the coolest thing, short of Cheese in a can, Ever!! You must be the Emperor and all 20 Primarchs in one!!! Honestly why would the Imperium name one of the unluckiest chapters in history after your greatness? Doesn't seem fair to you ;)

Good Luck, and keep going, I feel that if you don't get these completed I will send an Inquisitor to make you finish them!!

:D

Thanks sgtNACHO, I hope I can live up to that level of praise with future projects.

Here's the rest of the Terminator's Squad. Because each model has 3 pairs of interchangeable arms, I've had to label each one for the time being so I don't get them mixed up.

Tutorial for those Terminators perhaps? ;)

Yep, the Marine tutorial is nearly done. Terminator tutorial to follow before the end of the year.

Here's a a bit more on the Terminators, with my own Bane-Raider for effect. Planning to have these finished very soon.
