I really liked the story, especially how it started with how Deric had changed over the years he had spent in the Liber, and later his reflection of his own arrival with the younger scribe -_- Also, mentioning the various members who come to the Liber and how many leave for a while because of 'Astarte duty' was a nice touch ;)

Only one nitpick....

He saw a pair of marines with the signature eight-pointed star pendents arguing with what appeared to be a Inquisitorial representative, a guess Deric hazarded after noting an abundance of I's on the human's garments and weapons. He could catch snippets, but he definitely heard the words 'unknown parent chapter' and 'marauding warband.' This led him to conclude that a new band of vile renegades had sprung up and the Inquisition wanted to know where they came from. Clearly the Inquisitor had his own ideas, which Ecritter and Thirst didn't share.

-------

Before any of the companions of his table even noticed his passing, a pair of giant marines, large even for an Astartes, approached the table. At their side were gold plated Meltas, stamped with the aquilla of the Emperor. Ignoring the conversation, the first giant, whose hands were of gleaming metal, gently lifted Deric from his bench. Conversation throughout the hall stopped at the appearance of one of the great moderati, and then in reverence as they realized a brother had passed on.

I geuss I change quickly? :P

Well...I knew I shouldn't have read this with my sunburn. Of course I did, I laughed...I paid for it.

I look forward to the next installment. Until then I do believe that I need to get back to the Campaign.

-Walks away wondering why he chose only the last two Chapters in a Campaign he started...-

The second two moderati are supposed to be Ferrata and Ferrus Mannus haha :(

Which is based mainly on the fact that I always forget you are a Mod now :P

I could've sworn I saw DAT running under "ex-mod" status recently... or was that one of the other new mods. ^_^

May have been TDA, I keep mixing their acronyms up...^_^

I'm thinking it was TDA as well... I'm sorry he's a Cedo instead of a full mod now :( AFAIK, however, all the new mods are still... mods :P

Ferrus Mannus as a mod? That's an interesting thought, I had actually assumed it was Bannus you were refering to (him being the mod who does Iron Hands). I wonder if all of the primarchs would feature as mods in the Legio, only appearing when certain requirements (such as an honoured member passing away) were met.

Good stuff here, Shinzaren, thanks for mention. :tu:

He saw a pair of marines with the signature eight-pointed star pendents arguing with what appeared to be a Inquisitorial representative, a guess Deric hazarded after noting an abundance of I's on the human's garments and weapons. He could catch snippets, but he definitely heard the words 'unknown parent chapter' and 'marauding warband.' This led him to conclude that a new band of vile renegades had sprung up and the Inquisition wanted to know where they came from. Clearly the Inquisitor had his own ideas, which Ecritter and Thirst didn't share. Poor Inquisitor, Deric thought, those two could be pretty stubborn when they needed to be. Still, few could match their traitorous knowledge, though Deric often wondered if that was an insult or a compliment. Further down he noticed a marine with a menacing fail that appeared to be made of single human spine threatening another marine. He was waving the flail about and making gestures that even a blind man could see implied where the flail was going to end next. His victim was a Legio marine with a bronze chapter pad, bearing a golden skull and two scythes. That would be Cambrius, which meant the argument was no doubt about the colors of a chapter up for review. Heru, the flail wielding marine, often made attempts to reign in the Liber Heraldry Departments more... radical schemes, but even his legendary flail seemed hardly up to the task. The marines of the LHD were gifted with hard heads, even for Astartes.

I suppose this is a typo... We have enough fails int Liber already. :D

My story is slowly being worked on Ace, however at this moment, my University Dissertation has taken over all priorities in its completion. I must do well in it so I can earn enough moneys to continue to sate my plastic and resin addiction. :P

Fair enough.

Good luck with the university stuff, fellow Herald! :tu:

Ferrus Manus as in the author of the Arctic Lions DIY in the Librarium, not Ferrus Manus Primarch of the Iron Hands.

Although there is speculation they are one and the same, there's not much actual proof. :P

He's a Lexicanium, and just because he hasn't posted in a while doesn't mean he's not lurking in the shadows with a bowling ball of pure, thrice-forged iron ready to crush unfathomably bad ideas. ;)

Fair enough.

My thanks brother. Just finsihed my presentation on it so now it's all about the write up...joys! Where's a scribe servitor when you need one!?!

Cambrius

I'm surprised to even be included, seeing as I rarely comment here anymore these days... I should get back into my old habit of starting a new IA every couple of months or so

Anyhoo, great piece of work Shinzaren  Looking forward to seeing the next bit!

Ludovic

Fixed the pointed errors and typos :)

Ace nailed it btw, Ferrus Manus refers to the Lexicanum, not the Primarch. I didn't really know to describe him otherwise though, so I figured enough people would recognize the description of the Primarch and the link the two...

EDIT: You guys get hung up on the strangest things haha :D

I thought so. For some reason I've always thought he was a mod, so it was quite confusing when I couldn't find him on the mod list. It doesn't help that Deus ex Ferrum is a mod and has a similar name.

Hehehe, my bad  I didn't think that you might have meant another type of the staff, which isn't quite clear unless you're a staff member yourself

I shall return from my LOOOOOOOOONG Absence/lurking to say this. Wow, I am flattered that I got a mention, even iff it was just in passing. Like Ludovic makes me think ?I should get back to actually being around here. After all I have got a Chapter of the Liber Campaign to try to rebirth/figure out.

Thanks again and I hope to be back soon....

Come, join me in my restart of my quality critiques, Phoenix! Together, we shall overthrow the Emperor and rules the galaxy! Wait, wrong plotline...
Meh, works for me...

What?!? These pesky Planet Ra- *cough* -pers again? Quick, call for the Purifiers!!! ;)

If anyone is curious, there was a very specific method to who got a mention in the newest story entry. Can anyone figure out what method was used? :)

EDIT: Edited in two more Liber brothers I missed :)
