ultramarine dice

Recommended Posts

We can submit custom art for the dice, yea?

I'll post an image or two up here when I get home.

I anticipated issues in finding a very Ultramarinesish ℧ for the image so I actually hunted one down in advance and knocked it down to a line art format.

We can see what everyone thinks, I suppose.

I don't really mind the sample one too much tho. *shrug*

Gemini Blue-Green w/Gold works for me instead of Scarab Blue w/Gold

the green blue is perfectly acceptable.

in a perfect world, I would want an amego that was more of a true u shape and less of a teardrop interior, but that is purely nitpicking. it looks great.

That's it, it was a little too tear drop in shape and not quite the wider dimension we are used to.

Like the 2 guys above me I am happy enough with the image, but would prefer a more accurate representation.

When TEC gets home and posts the picture up, I would vote for it (I trust him to be on the mark here) if we get the option.

Signature Scarab Blue Blood/gold is actually red...isn't it?

Thus far, Gemini Blue-Green w/Gold still gets my vote.

My goal was to have a darker blue of some sort with gold. Sort of like an all-round fancier version of the basic blue and white ones, so they seem like commander dice or something.

Gold is the Chapter's tertiary color, it'd make the dice easy to distinguish from the ones with white pips even at a glance, and the blue would be dark enough to distinguish them from the brighter Vortex Blue/Gold ones at a glance.

So I'd consider anything in the dark blue with gold pips range, but as far as I can tell that's pretty much just Gemini Blue-Green w/Gold ATM...

....unless Signature Scarab Blue Blood/gold IS actually blue and gold....

Yeah the Blue Blood actually is red by the looks of it. I agree with you on a darker color. When I picked the colors I chose I tried to pick ones I though everyone might like. Right Now I am kinda sold on just splitting my basic blue and red order down the middle nothing is really jumping out from the options they have offered.

In fact split mine 25 regular blue and white and 15 red and white. Thanks.

Ok, I will swap my unavaliable ones for the blue green w/gold.

Also agree that the omega is a bit funky. Will do in a pinch I suppose but maybe TEC can get it looking better

I vote no skull. The art is nice, though, and I'm happy with it (assuming that they smooth the edges which are rough, no offense TEC).

As for color of course, I stand by my previous preference of blue with white pips and chapter symbol.

I doubt they could get detailed enough to engrave pixels on a D6. But yea, the jagged edges are

1) because the original image is meant to look like it was stenciled

2) because when you go to pure black and white the gradient colors no longer exist to smooth it out.

3) because the image is blown up huge compared to a D6
