Little more work on the Teeth of Khorne. The Champions pretty much done and a couple of the gunners need some GS but they're getting there.

Your probably getting sick of hearing his, but those are some awesome conversions!

The head on the Champion is a cracking idea. What did you use for the optics? I love the look of the cables going into the eye. I might have to steal that for a conversion of my own.

What's the Havoc at the back armed with? He's looking a little camera shy in your last photo.

Thanks folks,

Sagentus, they are from the Terminator kit. I have 3 of them so far. I'll be building another few Heavy Bolters as well. Plan on having just two squads of 5 so I can mix and match Autocannons and HB's

SystemSyn, cheers man, the optics are from one of the Ad Mech crawler guys (they look like something from Quake 3) I forget their name. I think it's something Destroyers. I just cut down the helmet slightly and added the optics. It's a little nod to the old Havoc upgrade kit. The Champion from that has something similar iirc.

And that's a 3rd Autocannon at the back :)

Nemac, the little chain is from a Grey Knight torso. :tu:

Now, THAT is cool - teeth of Khorne are probably my favourite legacy WE unit. Very cool concept and realisation. :)

One thing though - shouldn't the champion be pointing with a chain axe? ;)

Very inspiring stuff. Reminded me I had two sets of FW WE/reinforced armour hidden away and it is making it impossible to resist doing a test berserker idea I had.

Either that or having played with some of them (using old models) made my opponent wince and weep after the charge :)

As an aside did you see the FAQ? WE berserkers are Troops again.

Regardless, carry on and keep reaping skulls.

Thanks folks. I'm really happy with how they're coming along as well. I want them to look a bit more heavily armoured than the rest of the army which is why I chose a lot of the Devastator bits. The backpacks were a must.

Guitarasmus, I agree and wish GW had fleshed out the unit more instead of the more linear approach it has taken to WE. I have the Gothic and the Eldritch book by Jes Goodwin and I still have a copy of Slaves to darkness as well so I used those images for inspiration for these guys. Fairly simple kitbashes overall but I think they definitely read as completely different from their original source. As for the chainaxe I have been toying with the idea of an axe like weapon for him but it will probably be a power axe. Never say never though. I still have another Champ to build ;)

Marius. Do it! Build the Zerkers they are immense on the charge and yeah I saw they'd been changed back to troops. :tu:

Brettfp, thanks buddy, glad you like him :)

The Traitor, thank you and yeah they're from the Chaos Termi kit. Really simple conversion, pretty much use a Bolter arm from the CSM kit, cut it at the elbow and then just cut away what you need to from the reaper until it fits. I have a couple of different arms on them but I think I'll probably stick to using the left arm from the Chaos Heavy Bolter. It just works better

so having just read this whole thread through, i can safely say this is one of the best armies i have ever seen! so many awesome conversions, giving me a ton of ideas for my own army, keep the updates coming!

Sagentus, definitely give it a go. The Dev backpacks should be easy enough to get a hold of. Although if you could I'd suggest picking up a box of them. There's loads of cool bits extra in the kit.

Outlanders_Luke, Thanks that is nice to hear. Look forward to seeing your work on here. :tu:

As for the updates, here's a couple little ones. First off my Shapeway order arrived from Popgoesthemonkey. These symbols look really cool, they're tiny though so I struggled to get a decent pic so I'll show the pic from his page to give you an idea of what I got.

I have 120 of these so far, once I work my way through these I'll probably need to order some more for my troops. I'm hoping he makes up some vehicle sized symbols as well.

As for an actual update I have been painting a little, made a start on my Exalted Champion last week. He had his first game last Sunday and was blasted off the board Turn 1 along with his Rhino by a squad of Hellblasters. :( Proper new model syndrome :D He still needs a few details and a couple of touch ups etc

I had another game against Mechanicus today which went pretty much the same way as last weeks. We played the Open war Comet mission. The comet landed right next to a unit of Grav Cannon battle servitors, an Onager Dunecrawler and Belisarius Cawl with a unit of Kastalan robots heading towards it as well. Anything I threw at it was left as a bloody smear haha. My Terminator Lord tied the onager in combat for a while but due to the cards we were both able to regain D3 wounds per turn so it just kept healing any wounds I made. :(

One of my standout units today was my Predator Annihilator ( are Las Preds even still called that or am I just showing my age?) So I decided to work on it a little tonight, it had only been roughly basecoated a while back so I set to adding details and wash. The wash needs tidying in some places but I'm happy with how it's coming along and plan to work on the Autocannon pred soon. I did add a couple of bits from the box of skulls to the Autocannon one. Decided to name the two Predators 'Pain' and 'Panic' :D

And the Autocannon that started life as a Baal :tu:

So it's not a massive update but I've been really busy working on real life stuff this past week so just grabbed time when I can. I've entered a couple of fairly local tournaments now one in Oct and one in Nov so any paint updates between now and then will be a unit I plan to use there. Although Destiny 2 arrives on Wednesday so paint time may suffer :(

As always let me know what you think folks :tu:

Cool predators, I have to get some of those spiky tracks, I just love how they look on chaos vehicles every time I see them... And nice to see the new skulls are being used, also have to grab that kit, so many things to buy! Out of curiosity, what do you plan to bring to the tournaments and how many berzerkers have you managed to include in your list? ;)

The Traitor, thanks man I've used those treads on every Rhino/Predator/Land Raider and even a Shadowsword (which I still need to finish) I really can't fault Blood And Skulls ind. they have some other really cool bits as well a lot of the bigger skulls on my Daemon engines come from them as well. Plus the GW skull pack is well worth a purchase. :tu: As for my list I haven't finalised yet but I'll probably only have 2-3 squads of Berserkers. I do plan on using my Knight though. :tu:

Eldrick Shadowblade, thanks buddy.

The Champion looks great dude, but I have to say my favourite part of that last update is how you did the barrels on your Predator Heavy Bolters. That is something I will be stealing :D. Is it a skull from the new kit and the bottom jaw from a Horror?

Nemac

Hushrong, thanks buddy. I've enjoyed working on the tanks. Want to add a lots more to them but that will be more with paint.

Thamier, the only experience I've had with the Heavy Bolters has been on my Predator. They did really well though so I'll definitely be building more for my Havocs.

Nemac, cheers buddy. The skulls and jaws are actually from the skulls kit. There's loads of jaws for most of the different species included in the kit. :tu:

Bio you inspire me and make me want more models with every update! loving the Exalted Champ, that back pack works brillinantly on him, I've struggle to find a use for it personally, but it work great hear. The axe is pefertly proportioned and not to big, the pose is spot on and the head/helmet is something i wish to emulate. Got any more picks of the model at different angles?

The 2 preds are looking great also, defo want to get some, but need more money and ebay is dry atm due to the 8th ed lol

Thanks for the kind words buddy. Glad to hear you're inspired. :)

So I haven't been near my table for a couple of weeks. No excuse really just been focussing on other things irl.

So I don't have much of an update but I did work on a couple of bases a couple nights ago.

One was for an AoS project so can't be shown here but this one can.

And here is who will be riding said base. Still paint in progress. I have three of these guys but only recently started using them in game. I really like the way they work though so wanted to have a t least one of them table ready by the end of the year. :tu:

I've done a bit more work on the Predators but no pics just now.

Apologies for the fairly lacklustre update but this is more to spur me on than anything else :tu:
