Thanks guys. I'm really happy with how they've come out. I think in future I'll bring the squad up to 8. For now though I only need the 5. :)

Gonna work on the Berserkers bases tonight so hopefully the weather will be decent tomorrow to let me get them primed. :tu:

Started some work on my Terminators today. Still have a way to go and a few layers to add especially to the head.

You can see here the Legion symbol I ordered from Popgoesthemonkey over on shapeways. I’ve noticed in these pics though I’ll need tidy up the bottom of the symbol where I cut it from the Sprue

Hoping to have this squad finished soon. Then I can work on the Berserker squad.

Thanks folks, really enjoying working on these guys. Could only grab an hour or 2 today while my Minion was napping but managed to get the first guy pretty much done apart from finishing the trophy poles and highlight the skulls,

Pearson73, thanks buddy. I really wasn’t sure which chapter to paint that helmet so I decided on Lamenters hence the pale yellow. I was going to try and add some chequers but decided it was too much work for a trophy, I may add the heart symbol on the helmet somewhere though.

Jolemai, tips? I rarely sleep ha, honestly though I just grab time when I can. I really only get to work on these guys when my wife’s home or when the Minions sleeping. That’s why my updates can be really sporadic as well.

I’m lucky just now that Freya still goes for a nap for an hour or two during the day. I also tend to only work on 2-3 models at a time. :tu:

As you see above, I’ll prime them with the army painter dragon red, wash the whole squad with strong tone and then I’ll work on the brass trim on a couple of models, then the black, then trophies etc. I find it helps me to crack on through the squad this way. I’ve tried batch painting larger amounts and find it really demoralising.

The paintjob is great, and stylistically the reiver heads fit perfectly, but I think they are too large and/or sit too high up. How are helmets going to fit into the non-existent gap between the head and the armour?

I don't know why but for me bunny ears on TDA look much better than bunny ears on the berzerker helmets. I wonder how those ornaments would look on TDA without the trophy racks hiding them.

Are the bases just cork and sand, darker grey under coat and several drybrushes  of lighter greys? they look great too.

Quixus, thanks you. Yeah Just cork sand and occasionally just some bits from my boxes.

To be completely honest my basing method isn’t as involved as it used to be. Nowadays I have the bases black. I then dry brush Astronimicon Grey and add a heavy wash of Agrax/Nuln in a random mix. It’s quick and easy and doesn’t look too bad.

Hushrong, Juggernut. Thanks guys. Here’s how they look now.

Squad is basically done I have a couple of the trophies to paint and the skulls on the last two need highlighted to the same as the rest of the squad. Really happy with how these guys have turned out. :tu:

I found something on ebay, and thought I'd share it with all the Khorne/World Eater specialists on B&C.
