I have joined the ETL, but figured Ms. Charlotte is so far along it wouldn't be fair.  I will be painting a sorceror, 6 terminators and Not-So-Smilin' Bob the Defiler for the ETL.

Yes! Welcome to the ETL. Charlotte looks great already - but seeing this is the bare bones bSe for you AND you started her after the start of the ETL, I doubt Semper would have disallowed her.

Yup, she is a "Helldrake" Though she shoots nasty green acid stuff out of her butt, rather than fire. Unless she's been eating jalapenos. Still toying with getting an actual Helldrake model, but since I can't seem to ever get in a game these days, its hard to justify the purchase. But making one with a big eyeball in the front like Blinky is reeeeeeeeeally tempting.

The ETL vow includes the following: 6 Khorney Terminators, A sorceror and a Deflier with some issues he needs to work out.

After one painting session on the latter, I blocked in the basic colors, did some rusty colors and gave the fleshy areas a wash or two.

Dude your work continues to amaze. Khornate Termies is something we see far too few, and that defiler looks even sicker than your other conversions. (What about Charlotte by the way?) But the prize for this post goes to your Kranon conversion. That hand swap is as simple as it is effective, and it is hands down the best conversion of the model I've seen. Kudo's!

 

EDIT: I only now noticed the twinlas conversion you did with those Tyranid devourers. That's a definite contention to Kranon's prize!

Las or autocannons... depending on the game. ;)  I'm going to do an atypical paint scheme on the Khorney guys too... think burnt/burning iron and battleworn-burning from within black plate.  I just have to pull it off in a reasonably easy manner, since there are a lot of Khorney guys to do in the future.  Also going to do a little (emphasis on little) more conversion work on Kranon- rough up the cape, a tiny bit of greenstuff work to nurgle up his armor a little... but otherwise, yeah... he's pretty cool. :)

Gotta be honest, I love your painting style no matter what you paint!  It has this very "real" gritty feel that appears messy at first glance, but when you really examine it you see the details and the attention to specific points of interest that mark out a sharp eye for style.  It makes for interesting models with a lot of depth, especially with the smooth conversion work.  I'm very eager to see the sort of "charred" Khornate scheme you'll be going for!

ETL4 update: I've got the Defiler/stalk tank's turret about 80% done. Just some more detailing and its finished.

I have a nice black washed brown on the terminators as a base undercoat of the burnt iron, deep reds and possible cracking lava kinda thingy....

Not-So-Smilin' Bob's turret is done.  I'm going to switch gears for the next two weeks to get the infantry portion of my challenge done, then finish up Bob's chassis before August 1st.

A quick update on the Terminators for ETL4. After much painting and repainting and a good deal of loud music, this is what I'm going with for the red armored areas. Still have to paint the fleshy and metal bitz.  There is a weak attempt at describing the process on my blogg if anyone is interested.
