That flame effect looks awesome! How's the vow going?

Dragonlover

Thanks so much!  Its involved, but easier than it looks.  As for the vow.... Not so well.  I've had zero hobby time and along the way screwed up my right hand (tendon damage). Just getting it back to where I can paint this week,  So, there's no way (even if I sacrifice a nice white goat... or failing that a mouse the the Old Gods) that I'll finish. BUt I plan on getting more done before months end.  I might be able to get the terminators done ....or mostly done, now that I've figured out the process for the reds. Not-so Smilin' Bob's body.... no chance. :wallbash::wallbash:

Agreed, sad to hear you'll miss the deadline.  Still, gotta take care of yourself first!  I'ma keep watching this thread anyway.  :happy.:

Thanks guys. I'll be doing some painting this week. Look for an update Wed/Thursday-ish. Definitely will miss the deadline, but I'm going to finish the units I started.

A shame you won't be able to finish. We'll just sacrifice that goat (or mouse) to the gods hoping your hadn heals up soon. Excellent stuff on the Khornate colours. I love your style man. Very John Blanche. Very original. Very awesome.

After a wounded hand and a trip to the hospital, Grandfather Nurgle has brought me back to grace the pages of B&C once more...er, again.  Not a TON to show, but I have gotten back on the hobby horse and finished my "test Terminator"   So, here's a fiery Khorne Dog.

Excellent painting on that "Khorne Dog": While I'd go for a slightly more ornate armour, conversion-wise, the glowing embers effect you have managed to pull off is just gorgeous!

Thanks for the great comments gang.

I did that conversion a while back kind of quick just to get some Terminators together for a League at my local game store. I would have done more if I did it recently.  The plan is to do a "dedicated' Khorne force. I say "dedicated" because they will also use Space Wolf rules, so I can use them with my Guard Army (which are traitors, but I don't have IA13) I'll probably be looting some ideas from your blog too for that bunch....:cool.:  I know... its heresy, but I like heresy.

Before we get to the Plague Marines.... here's a spawn for your enjoyment.

Meet Harvey/Brent. He's still a work in progress...duh, I can't build a model without greenstuff on it. But he's kinda cute in a "GOOD GOD! KILL IT!! QUICK!!!" sort of way.

I started some sculpting on Harvey.  I get the feeling there will be a LOT of greenstuff on him before I'm through....

And here's the mock up for my Plague Champion for my Plague Marines.  The head is pinned on. I need to do some sculpting and such to 40k him up a bit more....

The sculpting has continued on Harvey/Brent.   Stage 2

And what may be done, at Stage 3. Though I'm still thinking about the legs.  Either way, he is in severe need of some topical cream or an anti-biotic.

Great looking spawn!

To make the Plague Marine look more 40, and less Blightking/ Gutrot, I'd give it a Chaos Space Marine helmet. I know the Blightking helmets are cooler, but they look too fantasy combined with the bodies. You could use them on Terminators or Obliterators.

I've done some sculpting and added some bitz and a backpack.   I'll be converting these guys ... http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Skaven-Stormfiends

for my Obliterators, Think armored spawn with guns. :)

The plaguies might end up as Terminators, the jury is still out on that one. But ol' tentacle gut is getting an overhaul and some serious sculpting.  I'll probably have some post worthy pics around the weekend. That one is just a pinned together mock up. Definitely keeping that helmet though.

Wow. It looks so goooood. So incredibly good. I just want. To crawl into one of his belly fat flops and make myself a nest....

Wait what? No! He looks disgusting! Blegh! Shame on you for sculpting this abomination!

Your GS skills are amazing. Would you post your process/method of creating all those things?

I'll see if I can't get my wife to help me take photos. The next big Green Stuff project will be Obliterators.
