I reckon they might be the sleepers of the new codex, especially if you can have 30 of them per squad and they can be made Fearless by throwing a character in with them. Dammeron Posted September 21, 2012 Share Posted September 21, 2012 Utterly stunning stuff in this thread; it's inspired me to get up off my indolent, Slaaneshi backside and start taking modelling knives to my own Dark Vengeance boxed set :) The trick for me is going to be getting the miniatures into a condition where they fit with the particular aesthetic of the rest of the army; there's consistent and distinct iconography throughout my Severed Angels, not least of which is the single wing every miniature in the army sports (thank you, Dark Eldar Scourges). Your work is stunning sir! You and some of the others here are the reason why I just dont feel comfortable posting pictures of my less than stellar models (oh, I do paint them to more than decent table top quality, but it still cannot compare to you truly skilled people!) What I am trying to say is that you painted the scales so impeccable that it truly doesnt matter how the rest of the models look. Not if you see the scales first anyway. To convert, what kind of dread do you want and how much work do you want to do? Trimming/Cutting the MM and replacing with another weapon using GS to fill is pretty easy. I wan my hellbrute to be converted to have heavy bolters instead of M-melta, odd i know but meh i just want it :P any ideas on how to convert up that dang gun arm to look more machinegun/heavy bolter look it kinda looks like it to me personally but everyone in the local GW won't let me say its a dang heavy bolter without actually converting it. cheers thanks for the help David.
