The Hellbrute looks like that is what happens when one is intered into a chassis. Still needing to do some work on the base but felt like sharing a few pics... ~BtW Edit: Not my normal photo set-up just snapped a few off while it sat on my shelf. Looking at the pics I am going to add another wash of Nuln Oil on the metallic bits to dirty them up a bit and probably throw another wash of Devlan mud on it as well for grittiness.... esinhorn Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 Gotta say love your writing style -_- I've been making a Deluxe Set by adding extra bikes,attack bike,and Land Speeder Basically bulked out the Ravenwing to full size and added the Master of Ravenwing on Bike or Speeder. Now to make it fair I had to add to Chaos. I added a squad of Raptors,the Aspiring Chosen Champ,and Dark Apostle The Librarians counterpart is coming soon I switched up his jump pack to a extra Lord pack I had. Am I the only one that looks at the Dark Apostle model and sees Erebus? lol That's who mine will be when I eventually pick one up. Also got my hands on one of the old smaller metal marine heads to use when I do a version of Kor Phaeron. Took a day off on painting my DV Word Bearers today to get a game in, but tomorrow night it's back to the brush for me! Will post some pics when I get some more done! Just wonder if the corruption level will be factored into the FW model or if will be considered as too soon for physical corruption to be showing. Kor Phaeron is in the same boat there. Looks awsome and i've been throwing around some ideas of making a deamon prince that was esseciantlly a possesed -> dreadnought possesed (helbrute i guess) -> full on deamon prince ascension from a dreadnought. The idea mostly came from when i was contenplating on doing iron warriors instead of word bearers cause the hellbrute just screamed iron warriors deamon prince to me. I like that idea,very fitting for IW who's deamons are supposed to all be like the techno virus creatures from xmen. I think Erebus 40k looks a lot like 30k in my minds eye,I see his corruption being internal versus external. Muskie Posted October 13, 2012 Share Posted October 13, 2012 The Dark Apostle is a sweet sculpt, I just wish it was a little cheaper. I was so going to run Lord and Apostle but at 1500 points it is a tough fit, there are a lot of other goodies and two wounds even with cultist shields is underwhelming.
