The sword was fun.. tackling a black blade in an interesting way (that kept the black prominent) was interesting.. didnt want sigi running about with "the mostly grey sword" afterall

Gonna be a bit of a long haul project.. i think just cleanup alone is going to take me a fair old while! im planning on ramping up my productivity and getting all my unbuilt stuff done before long.

 

been working on getting some imp fist infantry ready for paint.. the method im using for the yellow means that doing large numbers in one go is going to get me more consitant results overall.. so the templars will be batch painted to match the sarge and the termies will be black with yellow pads (there will be 10 of them soon)

 

 

 

the termie sarge is going to be a stand in lysander in 40k (the fists will be dual purpose mainly) and will be getting the fist of dorn instead of his current hammer before long.

Thanks guys, if anyone is going to the fw open day he should be there (along with me & the reprobates i game with) the titan is going to be a long haul project & im undecided on scheme will either be legio mortis or a predominately white scheme as i think it'll be cool to do a cleaner base white and weather it appropriately as its not often done on large models

Been working on some templar brethren for the fists.. the basic stuff for the yellow is sorted (need to edge highlight still) working on getting all the basics done in batches which isnt a way of painting that comes naturally to me but it seems to be working so far.

 

 

not sure if i want the helmets to be yellow though anyone got any thoughts? (thinking white and black)

Great work, dude!! Personally I'd keep the helmets yellow. I feel that sometimes people can take the templar theme too far. They should still obviously be VII Legion :tu:

Yeah I think I'll be keeping the helms yellow.. If I start going mad with white and the such it will stop the force looking as unified as I'd like..

 

Been trying to get some other hobby projects out the way recently.. namely getting Makabius up to full strength and building Deus Interfectorum as I go..

got the major bits of construction done.. guns are bolted into place and the body has a bolt running through it too so it can be screwed apart for transit.. getting the basic layers of paint on before i start to play about..

Ah yes, bolts. I heard you were having issues with using magnets, right?

yeah 3kg magnets dont work because of where the weight lies on the gun.. bit of a shame as i did a really nice job on sinking the magnets aswell! but the bolts are perfect and much easier to sort out for other arms. :)

Been a while.. I've been trying to build my way through my WIP crap before i focus on too much painting other than vulkan whos deadline is approaching far faster than id like..

 

 

the fire is nowhere near where id like it to be.. so much work to do -_- and a load of stuff like the skulls and bits of trim are barely even started.. i need to get cracking!

 

 

 

 

 

and last but not least Deus Interfectorum is slowly coming together, I think the shoulders will end up being red rather than bone but i need to figure out exactly what im going to do for them 1st.. the bone knee is going to be replaced with heraldry too.. hes currently a bit close to legio crucius rather than mortis if im honest!

His pimp cane is made from a dark eldar skull bit and a sigmarine great axe handle with the devastator open hand resting on it. :)
