My Missus is over from the states at the weekend and she's bringing her fancy all singing camera so I'll hopefully get some really good detail shots of the whole army so far to put up in the HoH. Small update, cracked out one of the Exploretores. Cheers, BT

Monstra Sumus
+UPDATE+ The 3rd Helican Crusade encountered some fierce fighting in the Shadows over Avon Prime tournament at the weekend. They lost ground to relentless Eldar of Biel Tan whilst resolutely refusing to die to a man, then later on finding themselves fighting alongside their bitter adversaries against the combined might of the greenskin Thrakka and the Tau of Farsights enclave. Together the Marines and Eldar brought ruin and damnation to the Tau and Greenskin allies, the 3rds Fellblade Bellum Sus cracked open a captured Aquilla Stronghold and vaporized the upstart Tau before turning its guns upon Thrakkas war machines. The Deathwatch Killteam was successful in dispatching dedicated worshipers of Nurgle, renegade Imperials and filthy Xenos forces but ultimately was brought to heel by Daemons of Khorne and their bestial machines. Then in the grand battle for the secrets of Avon Prime, the 3rd deployed alongside elements from the Imperial Guard, Space Wolves, Dark Angels and an obscure White Scars successor. Carrying the battle to the foul Xenos and later the dread forces of Chaos. The 3rd claiming many righteous kills against the death legion of Necrons and the inexorable horde of Thrakka himself. Striding Wraith Knights were beset by 80 Deep Striking Marines but the armoured might of the Emperor was not enough to carry the day against the Transcendent C'tan and upstart Eldar, merely enough to hold them in place and turn the streets of Avon Prime into a bloodied mess. So, back home now, Tournament was great fun and showed me some interesting new ways to use my Marines. Talking of Marines, here's some I painted today. Getting back into the core of the army, the Fellblade can wait. Cheers, BT
