TITH, I...

...Got the drybrush step done on my unfinished Raven Guard...

...Picked up some used old-school Possessed (think Dawn of War and earlier) to serve as the first full Gal Vorbak squad of my Word Bearers...

...Picked up three Flamers of Tzeentch and a solid two 5-man squads of old Plague Marines in the same lot...

...Half-finished my Primaris Vordin Krayn in Phobos Armor...

...Accidentally'd myself into a weird xenotech-using Tzeentch Warpsmith...

...Discovered my Chaos is about to pass 3500 points and that I've got about 6500 points total of stuff.

Lots of fun today, even though I had work.

EDIT: Ooh, just did some research! Yeah, I'm rocking Possessed made from Chaos Marines and the Chaos Mutation sprue - that ancient sprue that the Possessed parts in Dawn of War are off of.

TITH I finished moving, and tomorrow I'll start the long process of getting my hobby space set up.

Probably need some kind of drop cloth though as the new place is mostly carpet.

I've got a sprt of hobby challengw set up with a fellow hobbyist on Twitter for both of us to paint Mephiston and I'm jumping into this year's Everchosen a lot earlier by starting work on a Keeper of Secrets after that.

So hobby planning looka good at least.

Today I am repainting a Ultra marine  assault squad weapons black ( they were red) and adding ammo pouches, grenades and pistols to a squad of tactical marines.    Also working on my command squad.    I have finally got off my butt and have been working on a company of Ultramarines (Fifth)  that I started some years ago.

YITHI had a few friends over for our first KillTeam night - four players, two boards, two games each, and still finished not long after 9pm.

Two of the guys hadn't played KillTeam before, so it was all about fun over serious competition, but we all played as we felt our teams should, and had a blast.

TITH another 10 bases got improved, and I finally had a chance to get to my local post office when it was open (it closes at 1400!) to pick up my eBay rescue quad las Predator. Only a few mold lines that needed cleaning up, and the sponsons were nicely magnetised, but unfortunately the top turret was glued down. Still, for an £18 buy, I'm pretty pleased with it.

TITH, I learned that I officially have some example from most, if not all, lines of Plague Marines - but I only have 20 total in service, just under half of which are 2e and earlier.

First off, I own a five-man of lightly kitbashed Plague Marines using both parts from the Easy-To-Build sculpts and the Know No Fear/Dark Imperium sculpts, the modern guys. They're technically perfect, but they aren't anything to write home about as far as general charm. I've swapped out the power packs on three of them to 'Zerker power packs, because I like them better.

Second, I picked up some of the 3rd-7th Ed Finecast Plague Marines from a used box up at my FLGS. I've got six of these guys in service right now, including two plasma, three boltgun and a Champion with plaguesword/boltgun. One of the boltgun guys is using a plastic Chainsword arm off of the old CSM kit, but that's for lack of parts.

Third, I own eight metal and plastic Plague Marines from 2nd Edition, including two meltagun guys, two of the plastic guys you'd use to bulk up your army, one Champion with plaguesword/bolt pistol made from an armless metal body from concurrent parts before I got him (he's the sculpt Chaos Plague Marine 1), one plasma guy, one metal sculpt I can't track down a name for but looks to be concurrent - he has a bolt weapon which he's holding up like the 3e default Plague Champion and an empty left hand - and one Chaos Plague Marine 2 with boltgun. These are all being run as two Plague Marine squads, with the metal plasma sharing a squad with one of the 3e plasma guys as well as his concurrent sculpts.

Finally, and most awesome, I own two Rogue Trader Plague Marines - by the names of Tube Face and Plaguebearer Head 2. In the same lot I got the 2e and earlier Plague Marines, I got four Possessed made with the Chaos Mutation sprue and old CSM kits - I'm running Plaguebearer Head 2 with those four as a Nurgle Possessed squad, and Tube Face is playing power fist Champion for the Plague Marine squad with the meltas.

I swear, I was trying to build a Slaanesh army. This Nurgle stuff kinda got out of hand. But hey, I'm not complaining - Plague Marines are really good, and having old sculpts like this is really cool.

Yeah baby!

-cough- Sorry but really happy I got these guys all done! WarriorFish has frankly been embarrassing me in our little challenge of late so I needed to pull something out of the bag. This unit is pretty much 3 hours to finished tabletop standard for me. Next week will be Wraithguard and Farseer.

The great rebasing continues apace.

I'm now up to 40 Intercessors done, plus my eight command staff. Given the latter have larger bases, they've been test subjects for incorporating in ruins (important preparation for doing my Inceptors flying stand replacement and giving my Invictor some cover). I've really enjoyed making it look like the environment is taking over an old Imperial city, with soil starting to form in the hollows of column tops, and plants starting to grow out of crevices.

TITH I finished (barring the bases) the first squad of Intercessors for my Loyalist Iron Warriors!

Painting yellow is ridiculously hard, I can't imagine doing an entire army with all yellow armour....

TITH I set up an Instagram account for my painting - https://instagram.com/painting.for.my.sanity

Followed!

TiTHI haven't got up to anything but tomorrow I go to pick up my order from the local GW store and get a Mephiston for nostalgia purposes. I can't remember what hppened to my original model, it's been a long time since 2nd edition.

TITH I took my car in for a service and decided to spend my time at the local GW. Got all my stuff out the car and carried it all the 2.2km walk to the store in 35C heat to get there...And do absolutely nothing because no one wanted to roll dice and I had no painting stuff with me.
