YITHI finally got all my Tacticus armored units sorted and Wolf bits to enhance them selected and each unit member (and then units) packaged up in ziploc bags to keep the bits sorted and together as I get distracted in other projects (because my Hobby ADHD is bad like that).

Have the following Wolf packs prepped up:

- 2 Ashen Stalker bolt rifle packs

- 1 Ashen Stalker Assault bolt rifle pack

- 2 Crimson Reaper packs

- 1 Nova Fang assault plasma incinerator pack

- 1 Nova Fang heavy plasma incinerator pack

- 1 trio of Aettvardtr (Bladeguard)

TITHI got all my remaining terrain out to look at how to build and incorporate it all while remaining as Modular as possible.

YITH, I built my MTO terminator librarian and filed down some of the iconography to use as a HH dreadwing librarian.

I then finished the building on some intercessors and some more deathwing knights.

Last, I started cleaning the resin on erebus and kor phaeron, a Mor Deythan squad, some RG rhino doors and a moritat.

TITH I finished building four Armiger Helverins without instructions:

Additionally, Friday In the Hobby, I ordered Book 9 Crusade and two of the Lion (Gaming model and Display model) and two sets of the Dark Angels dice

TITH I made some progress on an intercessors squad and I painted the eyes on this chap. I have no idea what I did differently but they came out far better than usual.

You people who can paint eyes make me jealous.

My recipe if you're interested:

- Make an appropriate sacrifice to the paint gods. I recommend a goat or a bottle of nuln oil.

- Vallejo 72.130 Rotten white with thinner of choice (Lahmian medium, Instar Water+ or the like). Paint the whites of the eyes, but make sure to wipe off any excess before you start (check the brush on your thumb before you commence)

- Black paint of your choice. Usually something that has been sitting on the wet palette for a day or 2. Dot the eyes with the finest tip brush you have. Try and point them towards the centre; not sure why this works, but the opposite makes them look like chameleons.

- Open your eyes, commence breathing again, and hope that you haven't ruined the face you have been working on.

My ultimate tip though, paint heads separately. You get way more than you need in the case of marines. Paint them in bulk and then just select the ones that come out best to attach to your models.

Never thought of doing that! Very good tip and makes perfect sense.

Here is my freshly minted Inquisitor. Just a simple weapon swap from the BSF Crusader. After a bit of a wonky start, I think I am getting the hang of Contrast paints. The Apothocarion White for the armour worked out really well.

You nailed the white. Did you use apothecary white over grey seer? If not, may I ask what was your method?

Spot on. Apothocarion white over Grey Seer came out really well. The cloak is Flesh Tearer Red. The steel is Leadbelcher with Nuln Oil gloss and a Stormhost silver highlight. The Gold is Retributor armour with Aggrax Earthshade gloss and a Liberator Gold highlight. The skulls and parchment are Ushabti bone with regular Aggrax (mostly because I don't have any of the Contrast bone paints.

Just looking at the cruel close-up I realise I missed shading the eye lens so I will have to tidy it up later. The camera is a harsh critic.

TITH, I finished building and magnetizing a predator tank for the 1st legion, along with a drop pod.

I then primed ~20 chaos cultists, a DA primaris master for the 4th company, some intercessors, some Deathwing knights and some other models. I also did the first pass prime on the predator, the drop pod and and impulsor.

Yesterday in the hobby I had a game against the banana custards. Close game but cut short as I had to leave due to time.

Highlight of the match was my squad of 10 battle sisters with a single unpainted model amongst them.

Took fire from hurricane bolters and failed 6 of the 10 3+ saves they had to make. Failed their morale and lost a model from that and then failed 2 of the 3 attrition test rolls- leaving the unpainted girl by herself.

I think the squad was just disgusted at having an unpainted model with them and just left.

Some more progress today, added some Contrast to some of the Wraithboned (Hah!) Detail pieces and finished all the purity seals.

To be honest they turned out really nice.

Happy I painted three dozens of those for my Imperial ++××++REDACTED++××++ project. Unintentional practice.

Today my Forge World marches to war for the first time. I'm going to need all the luck I can get fighting off either the Tyranids or the Death Guard. I'll find out when I get there.

Do we know if primaris are getting a smash captain in the new book? Has that been spoiled?

Not that I'm aware of. I am/was planning on running him as a regular marine with jump pack, but I like the look of Primaris against oldmarines so I used a Primaris body. If assault intercessors get jump packs then he might get some play as a leader for that unit.

TITH I bought some Scale 75 metallic paints so I can weather bolters and other weapons.
