He looks awesome! For eyes the smoke launchers that come with the chaos tank bits are great for using as optics. I did on my Lasher Fiend

thanks bio, i added one of them today, but for the other eye i try and make a dual optik one small one large lense.

thanks, its really nice to get so manny positive responces, it validates that i did something right.

 

im struggling not to rush the rest, but its hard. worked on the head today fixed the jaw and one eye, and started on the teeth with brown stuff, a alminion laced green stuff puddy that should get really jard, but haven worked with it before, so we will just have to wait and see.

 

also started on the weapon mount.

While the head seems to be coming along nicely, I'm wondering whether it'll need slightly bigger nostrils, so as not to look too much like a Necron head?!

maybe, not sure yet, trying to match it with my consept sketch i showed you guys earlyer.

 

Man that looks awesome so far. I think painting it a certain way would make it look less like a necron. Another alternative would be to give it horns of some kind. Just a thought.

i think painting will help, but its not all done yet, and i plan on makeing a few of these, so giving one or more horns sounds like an awsome idea Tanith

 

 

 

Yeah A+ so far! I left my box of black legion WIP in tallahassee! Have to get them this xmas... inspired to pick up a few models next paycheck and work on a big project till then...

that sounds awsome Eldrick, more reinforcements to the black legion!

and might aswell stock up and prepare for next ETL, so we can win that too.

 

That's epic. The teeth are looking great, my attempts at teeth always turns out like squares hehe

thanks, so im leveled up to a epic A+ not bad im feeling all proud now.

i wanted the teeth to be sharp fangs interlocking when the mouth is closed, but when they have cured ill have to go over them sharpning and ajusting :)

Is it the mechanics for an upper arm? Perhaps to attach Knight weapons? Also super excited you're back, you have some of the most amazing ideas and sculpting skills on this site in my opinion!

nicely spottet, excaktly, im not going to use the knights weapons but i wanted the defiler to be compatible, gonna build my own weapons.

 

and im never really gone i do ocasionally go into lurking mode, when i dont have time or anything to post :)

bit thank you for all the really kind words, now i have ALOT to live up too, not sure if im even in the top 3000 :p here on b&c

Looking good, I like that you detailed the bits for the weapon mount even if they are going to be covered up by the weapon.

 

its the same resaon that i painted my helldrake undernearh and highighted it on the wings underneath too, none will see, but i would know if i skipped it ;)

Wow, i seriously miscalculated the size of that thing

hehe thats why i posted pics next to a marine, with the spikes on the spine i think its just a inch taller than a imp knight

Okay, I really don't understand why this doesn't have a hundred likes and new comments yet:

 

Mate, that is absolutely stunning! Amazing job! This guy is just getting better and better all the time -- I don't suspect it would be possible for you to paint him in World Eaters colours, though? ;)

 

My gut feeling says you should add some cabling running from the back of his head to beneath the carapace on his back. Or do you want to keep the head mobile?

 

Anyway, utterly awesome work! :)

thanks kraut, i think its cause the stuff i built takes for ever and its really not all that great, i just have a few nice friends here at b&c that thinks its nice :)
