Scars Episode XI Updated 16/10 (Spoilers)

They were said to be of some renown, though. As was Malcharion. Remember, Orpheus of the Ultramarines was also a great hero and all he does

is get massacred by Angron

Orfeo probably would've killed Khârn though, and that seems like hero status to me....

And that proves Greyall's point. tongue.png

Making it past the Heresy doesn't equal hero status. Enough Ultramarines survived to found 16 recorded Chapters following the dissolution of the Legions and we don't even remember a tenth of all those survivors. Rather, it is people like Corswain and Sevatar(who isn't even supposed to survive Terra) that are the heroes. Why? Because they so totally rock! Dude.

That..... is an unsettling image that makes me happy that I can just turn off the mental imaging of my imagination.

I imagine the Dreadnought would function similarly to a Princeps.

If the Dreanought was interred inside Blood Angel Bob, it would function like a princeps? Not helping man.

But Bob was a hero. Single-handedly, he beat Abaddon to a standstill when they met at the wall. He slew an entire World Eaters sortie of one hundred and fifty Berzerkers with well-placed booby traps, after claiming the head of their champion with a plastic spork!

Killing a man like that would be a kill worth noting indeed.

I think you are confusing bob with his older battle brother Mari Soo of the Ultramarines legion

No, Chapter Master Mari Soo farted and caused an entire Word Bearer splinter fleet to be lost to the tides of the warp. He then snapped his fingers and caused Calth's sun to fix itself, however, his other hand was broken from ripping off Chuck Norris' beard so he couldn't fix Calth itself. And when he sneezed, Angron himself shuddered in fear.

....and caused space wolves to execute themselves and caused rune priests to switch to tzeentch because their power wasn't clean or restricted compared to Mari Soo

Sevatar had given the order to break up the Night Lords fleet just before the Dark Angels showed up to ruin their day(again). It seems like most of the fleet were able to break through the Dark Angels line, but who knows where each ship was headed. Some of the Kyroptera were eager to join Horus, others wanted to get revenge on the Dark Angels.

Yes, all we can say is some NL were on Terra. Can't really prove that all the NL went to Terra...in fact, it would be a bit out of character for all the NL to head to Terra

Remember, Orpheus of the Ultramarines was also a great hero and all he does

Being killed a primarch wouldn't really detract from a marine's hero status. I'm sure Orpheus is renowned for his feats during the Great Crusade

Wouldn't say they were famous, I mean at least to us, kind of just figures created just for him to kill.

Wouldn't call them heroes, just officers. Heroes are people like Khârn, Sigismund etc.

Would really depend on what you mean by the term "hero". They're not well-established heroes in the lore. They're dudes invented to build up Malcharion as he's supposed to be this bada$$ among the NL.

In-universe though, they're above-average marines (as is Malcharion). I'd probably call them second or maybe even third tier heroes, compared to the top tier dudes (Sigismund, Abaddon, Khârn, Lucius, Sevatar, Amit, Argel Tal, Ahriman etc.)

Getting the title 'hero' usually requires death, in my world. Dreadnoughts fit the bill.

In my head, this makes sense with the Night Lords series too, since the Astartes they fight are about to die, as far as they're concerned. An insult, a threat and a praise, all rolled up into one. Very Nostroman.

Ok todays spoilers!

Torghun meets with a fell lodge member and discusses what he knew, the other guy seems to be receiving information from somewhere but won't let it be known, he tells Torghun to buck up, he's a white scar, not a luna wolf and get his head in the game since Torghun wants to act now, either way they say the Alpha Legion won't know whats hit them soon.

The White Scars engage the Alpha Legion but then quickly fall back disorderly like, it's all a ploy though, the White Scars actually have superior co ordination and have outfitted their ships to be super fast, upon the order of the Khan within 5 seconds the entire fleet as realligned and is plowing through the Alpha Legion force with little loss for the White Scars and several ships destroyed for the Alpha Legion.

Yesugei talks with the Salamander captain and an Iron Hand who turns out to be our old friend Bion Henricos, they explained what happened and discussed why they opened fire on the White Scars, they said they would of done it for anyone, Yesugei says especially us though, the Salamander denies that but the Iron Hand says yes because we know about your witchery. Yesugei attempts to get them to find the khan with him, and he will vouch for them, the Salamander says we'll see.

The Khan is in discussion with his lieutenants on his next course of action. They eventually come to the conclusion of head for Terra, he tells his master of astropaths to apologise to his Brother politely and says he hopes to fight side by side with them in future but at the moment he must figure out what's gone on and is returning to Terra.

Leman Russ sniggers at the politeness and says he should of expected it and shouldn't of asked for the help in the first place. He says he keeps Bjorn around because he's young and he'll be around after Russ has gone as Bjorn's Wyrd is not clear to him but that Bjorn is to keep the spirit of the Legion alive when he's gone. He then says they need not worry, the Alpha Legion haven't seen the last of the Space Wolves.

A minor thing but it does appear the nickname of the Khan is the Warhawk

Bjorn's

Wyrd? As in psychic powers?

All the thanks once again, WoT.

I believe Russ is a sort of Rune priest, he has the powers that his legion's rune priests have, by wyrd I believe he means Bjorn's Destiny, his future etc

Ah, righty then.

Not sure I like this version of the Khan's decision to head to Terra that much. At least in 'Visions' Dorn was incessantly texting the Khan to come home, and he made that decision out of pure urgency. Now he simply wants to figure out what's going on...is that really more important than saving his brother?

regarding that void showdown

did the alpha legion conveniently leave a weak spot in their lines on purpose? with the so-called battle-barges and their "ponderous clumsiness"

seen as they hung about for dorn's retun to terra message to get through to the white scars, you'd think they were actively encouraging it?

after keeping silent beforehand, the alpha legion fleet tried to hail the white scars on the vox when they were within lance-range, but were ignored. i wonder what they were trying to tell them?

also, they didn't give pursuit once they'd broken through the blockade either

hmmm, questions within questions as usual with the alpha legion
