Scars Episode XI Updated 16/10 (Spoilers)

Liking the portrayal of the Khan in this. Very interested in seeing how he finally makes the decision to join the Emperor/Loyalists.

I don't know why, but this always seemed a bit simple to me. Me thinks Khan was one of the Primarchs who embraced the vision of the Imperium in uniting humanity under it's banner, and the Emperor as the only being capable of achieving such a feat. I don't forget Khan and Horus were close, but I believe Khan was close to the man Horus was pre Heresy (he had a pretty different character before the Heresy) and not the man who throws a part of his Legion to die on Istvaan or proves that he isn't a man (as far as honour is worthy as a man's trait to begin with).

Of course, while this is enough for me, I would also like to see how they present his decision in the fluff.

Were the Night Lords actually on Terra in force? I thought the new fluff is that they were tied up with the Lion and his Dark Angels.

Would the locations of the traitor legions be as follows as of the time of the Battle of Terra?:

Sons of Horus: Fighting in space and on the ground. (Terra)

Iron Warriors: Fighting on ground and besieging the palace (Terra)

World Eaters : Fighting on ground and besieging the palace (Terra)

Emperor's Children: Having a bloody orgy on Terra (Terra)

Night Lords: Thramas Crusade tieing up the Dark Angels

World Bearers: Majority was supposed to tie up the Ultramarines. However, if I read Betrayer correctly, it seems like after setting up the Ruinstorm to isolate the Realm of Ultramar, the Word Bearers and World Eaters then made haste for Terra, so The Word Bearers could be part of the main force on Terra as well.

Alpha Legion: Tieing up the White Scars and Space Wolves in another part of the galaxy. Assume that the Wolves continue the fight while Khan races to Terra in time.

Death Guard: All corrupted by Nurgle en route to Terra, therefore most likely part of the invasion force (Terra)

Thousand Sons: Not to sure on how they participated but since Magnus was more or less forced to become traitor, its quite likely what was left of the legion could have been on the ground on Terra.

Sevatar had given the order to break up the Night Lords fleet just before the Dark Angels showed up to ruin their day(again). It seems like most of the fleet were able to break through the Dark Angels line, but who knows where each ship was headed. Some of the Kyroptera were eager to join Horus, others wanted to get revenge on the Dark Angels.

Thousand Sons were at Terra, it's been in the story since old times. They were not numerous so they mostly took on supporting roles, like breaking the wards on the eternity gate and summoning legions of daemons, but they were fighting as well.

At some point I'd like for the Khan and the Wolf to at least have a heart-to-heart talk. I don't know what Russ' stance is, but the Khan has a very shallow view of the Wolves. Of course he has to deal with "He also wears a pelt, this savage" prejudices, but one would think that he, as a deeper-than-it-shows man himself, would be able to see through Russ' fur.

I'm liking the Khan a lot, but he's immensely dangerous until he comes to the Loyalist side. He's deep, no doubt, but some extra broadness to his mind wouldn't hurt. He's aware of everything, but seems to simply shun whatever feels weird to him.

There were at least some Night Lords at Terra. It is unknown how many although at least Sevatar, the First Company and the Tenth Company were there.

Not exactly. The Kyroptera who wanted revenge, died at the beginning of the book, except for one person who was smart enough to escape the ambush.

As a result, Sevatar initiated six new Kyroptera members. He ordered that the Legion be broken down into six fleets and that each would be under the command of a single Kyroptera and they were to do whatever. The majority of the fleet present, actually got away because it was only a token force that stalled the Dark Angels and was, presumably, destroyed.

But no, I'm not talking about Terra. Considering all the fluff about the Night Lords that were at Terra has those Night Lords on, in or near the walls, they wouldn't be back far enough to fight the White Scars. So it'll have to be somewhere within the next five years of the Heresy.

But Bob was a hero. Single-handedly, he beat Abaddon to a standstill when they met at the wall. He slew an entire World Eaters sortie of one hundred and fifty Berzerkers with well-placed booby traps, after claiming the head of their champion with a plastic spork!

Killing a man like that would be a kill worth noting indeed.
