I don't know ... FRFSRF on hotshot lasguns might almost be too good.

In the WD it does mention that FRFSRF works on the hellguns and look for it to be updated in the new ig codex. Also it states that in c: TM that there will be 6 new orders specifically for them. Good orders could make up for mediocre stats. Im hoping anyway.

I hope the Guard get the option for Autocannon turrets on Chimeras (doubt it though as it was a FW turret and I don't even know if they still produce it). Interesting that this Schola Progenium codex is standalone, I wonder if the Guard dex will still have Storm Troopers in as elites.

And GW re-released single heavy weapons teams? Hmm.

Here's hoping the storm troopers have only been removed from the IG pages of the store so they can shift more C:Tempestuswhatsit and they'll be back in our Elites slot come C:AM's release.

After all, do you think they're completely doing away with the Kasrkin?

I like the Scion models but I'm not shelling out 30 quid on a codex so I can use one or two suicide-melta-deep strike units.

Good to see more of the metals back up. Gaunt's and the Last Chancers, though I want my Mordian special and heavy weapons! :D

Until I have my eC:AM I'm holding off on all purchases.

I'll get a command box too, for all the biiiiiiiiiiiiiitttssssss!

Actually it appears that the command box and the regular scion box are the same. A dual kit. Which means tons of leftover bitz if you just build a normal squad. Hence my prediction that there's probably $1000 worth of ebay sales in that "expeditionary force" one-click collection.

i'm not so sure, since anyone who buys 1-2 boxes of stormtroopers will have lots of stuff left

True, but I'm sure there are people out there who would be interested in the beret heads (or the helmeted ones) who don't want anything else out of the scions box. There's always a market for plasma guns. Some people want a med kit without having to buy a scion or CCS kit, etc.

Nevertheless, I crunched the numbers and my temptation is no more ... you don't save a single penny by purchasing that one-click collection. So what's the point?

For those who will chide me saying, that is the case with all one-click collections, well, I guess so. Although I could swear when the Battle Conclave collection was out, it was actually $20 cheaper than buying the extra models. But I just added it up now to verify and it's exactly the same price as the individual models.

I see a third path...remove the stormtroopers from C:IG, but leave kasrkin, and give them slightly different (weaker in C:IG) rules.  Like no FRFSRF in C:IG, and three special weapons for storptroopers, two for kasrkin, and so on.  Anyway, I'm glad I ordered a raftload of kasrkin before this pre-order went live.

According to rumour, Orders will be in the next codex too (#cheer!#).

Faeit (http://natfka.blogspot.jp/2014/03/take-aim-astra-militarum-orders.html) sayeth:

10 order cards

Known orders include:

"Take Aim": Gives the ordered unit Precision Shot
"Smite At Will": Gives the ordered unit Split Fire
"First Rank Second Rank": Ordered unit gains an additional attack with lasguns and hot-shot lasguns
"Forwards for the Emperor" After shooting, ordered unit must run even if they can't normally
"Move, Move, Move" Ordered unit must run, roll dice and use the highest.
"Suppressive Fire" Ordered unit's weapons have the pinning rule

Here's hoping "Bring it down", "Fire on my target", "Get back in the fight" (particularly that one) and "Incoming" (not that I ever used it much) are also in there (yes, that would be more than 10 cards).

"Forwards for the Emperor" seems to be Al'rahem's "Like the Wind!", no?

I wonder if Orders will still be limited to non-vehicles. Hopefully not :D

Orders are characterful so I'm glad they're staying (or rumoured to be). Doesn't look like they're doing too much with them but I like the sound of the new ones. Seem like they'll be useful as well as making sense. Suppressive fire could be very handy.

The more rumors about the AM....er IG, I read the more I like what I am reading. The less changes to the format we have the happier I am. The IG has a core of mechanics that make it work and the few extra bitz don't hurt either.

I am finding interest again. Most unexpected.

If these rumors pan out, I will be one happy Disloyalist! Even if it means that I need to build and then pay for voxcaster vets to make sure the orders work, being able to split fire the heavy weapon and the lasguns at the better targets sounds great!

Also, the Hydra/Wyvern box is not a negative, but I'm looking for a plastic colossus box, GW :)
