I have not seen 3d lightning used before so I am very intrigued. It is hard to look properly as everything is very white, so hard for me at least to get a proper look. So far I really like the pose and the NL additions like the winged helmet and the knee pad. Looking forward to more!

I'm not sure this works. Have you considered using dried and varnished tree roots instead? The lightning will be more organic and go to a smaller point? I used this on a tzeenchian sorcerer casting a spell

Ah i have the finer point issue resolved (kind of), i have taken cotton thread, coated it in superglue, and that will form the basis of the next series of forks. From there liquid green stuff over the top to give a more organic appearance less bits stuck together.

More shall be done soon Marqol, been having a roll in the creative space since the challenging!

And so the Night Lords claimed their next victim, a small plant. I was interested to see what the wire looked like but I think disease is right, this looks more natural. Is there any chance of having a close up of the Dreadnoughts helmet?

Cheers guys, big thanks to disease too! Without you enabling none of this crazy would be possible

I feel a theme tune coming on

I'm not entirely sure how much more I can get away with! Gonna add some chain and some numerals somewhere, I keep meaning to pick up a box of zombies for corpse bits. Some more pieces of dread for the base and I may leave it alone for painting. Won't look stock any more, and I may stop shaking my fist at FW for making me do this

It was from a Begonia I unsuccessfully tried to turn into a house plant (no garden for me *sniff) let the soil really dry out and be oh so careful when crumbling it away. Pot size was 1.5 to 2 ltr.

should be painting it soon, needs more detail first though

The helmets right ear (When looking at, it's the left) There is a bit of gap between the ear and the head, not sure if that is purpose or has been fixed but thought I would bring it up. Also curious with the dead dread on the base, are you going to make it look like it is buried?

Jeff, I can poke it and it doesn't die horribly, but I'm gonna try not to be overly rough with it, best not to risk too much.

marqol, yeah the head still needs a smidge of work doing and definitely got some work yet to do on the base. I knew I had to make the pose different (they give me fully posable legs, I'm gonna pose 'em), so the dreads cover is the starting point, gonna add damage and cables, so I don't have to build too much of a dirt pile around the body

Paint soon! Got a box of zombies today for corpse bits, was a bit overwhelmed by the amount in the box! So I've added one adornment, magnetised and mounted the autocannon, and my daughter wanted a zombie so thats how he got there. Praetor for size comparison. Don't know how far I should go with corpse bits, don't want to be OTT.

All these Deredeos making me want to buy one..

And I agree on not being OTT, maybe have a corpse tied to the side or some bones attached to an armour plate. Anything more and I personally think you will risk taking attention from the helmet and the lightning.
